When you choose the option of heating an area and set the temperature, there is a blower but it is not loud and disturbing.

It is 26 inches long and 17 1/2 inches high.  I do not know the depth, but do know that in the back of the unit there is about 4 or 5 inches that you screw a block of wood into the unit behind the fireplace insert to keep it from moving.

I really love this product.  I will say it was time consuming to put together, not difficult, just time consuming.   The materials and process for construction are excellent, very sturdy when completed.  It looks way more expensive than it was.  I shopped around for a fireplace/ TV console and this was by far the best price I had found.

I was not sure about buying this because in the past furniture from Walmart has been HORRIBLE. But this is a sturdy piece of furniture it came halfway assembled and the instructions were fairly easy. It's a great color and it looks great in my living room. Worth the money. It's a great deal!
