How Does SmartChef Technology Work? Unlike bluetooth smokers, you're no longer tethered to your cooker. SmartChef technology utilizes the Cloud to wirelessly exchange information between your smoker and your smart device, allowing users to monitor their smoker from anywhere with a data connection.

SmartChef products operate on a 2.4 GHz network, offering a strong signal with solid object penetration. Users with a dual band access point (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) will need to reference their router manual to ensure it is broadcasting in 2.4 GHz. SmartChef™ technology supports WPA and WPA2 personal encryptions; WEP encryption is not supported.
