Velcro, closes pretty securely as to not let any bugs in.

It has both velcro and a zipper. So yes, we only used the zipper at night when sleeping.

How does the door close? Does it have magnets or Velcro so you do not have to use the zipper every time?

No, the tent does not have an electrical outlet hole.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this tent!! We have a California king air mattress and have plenty dog space to get into bed on both sides. Closet is a added bones for getting clothes and bags off the floor of tent and out of the way! Highly recommend for a family or festival goers. Super simple for one person  putting up and taking down.

This is a very spacious tent that fit two queen air mattresses with extra room to spare.  We love it so far. The closet space is nice to have for bags and clothes/ extra items.

Very spacious

My sister and I decided we wanted to go camping in the Texas Hill Country for a few days. Something we hadn't done since our teens with our parents. I ordered the tent on the Walmart app and once it was delivered a few days later we practiced putting it up at her house and it was easy to do. So when we arrived at Guadalupe River State Park the tent was up and staked in 20-30 minutes. We had two twin air mattresses with sleeping bags on top and put one on each side of the tent. That left us plenty of room in the middle. We actually used the closet as space for foldaway portable toilet for those late night needs. One night it rained a lot with strong winds, but the tent held up perfectly. It didn't shake and there were no leaks. We brought our portable camping chairs inside and used our ice chest as our dinner table until the rain stopped. Taking it down was a cinch. I will admit we put it away in a storage bin we bought elsewhere and not the carrying case. My only negative about the tent is that one side window is missing the zipper. I used dental floss and a paper clip to tie the corner in place. I don't believe the tent could hold 8 people comfortably, but I will say it can easily hold a family with children. You could fit two queen mattresses and still have room. We're already planning our next camping trip next fall when the weather is cooler. If two women in their 60s can put this tent together it should be even easier for a young family. I hope you have fun because we certainly did.

Great tent, super roomy!

The first-time putting up rain came from nowhere. Stayed up through rain and wind with no leaks. 
Second time out much easier to put up with clear skies and 2 people. Held 2 queen size air mattresses and a dog bed with small path to get out of beds. I would recommended for no more than 4 people. We will be using again soon.

GREAT TENT

Love! Gigantic tent.  My family really enjoyed camping out in our backyard. The tent is huge.  We put an air mattress in there.  Prepared finger foods %26 played family games.  Soooo much fun

Backyard Fmily Night!

i love this tent.  was easy to put up with 1 person, i can stand up inside all the way across the tent - I'm 5'8".  there's so much room with the straighter walls and i really like the door style being rigid.

I have seen this tent at different parks over the years and always liked the cabin style, ive always had a dome style tent. I camp alone (well with ny two dogs), my husband doesnt do “tent camping” so its usually with the dogs and girls. I finally broke down and bought this tent. 1st time setting it up, i was a little disappointed with my choice due to the fact it took me 1/2 hour to set up alone!
I disassembled it in less time. A week later i took it out and set up again on my on and got it down to 15 minutes alone. I LOVE this tent! I did spray all the seams with water repellent, and spray the rain fly. The tent is roomy, i went from a 6 person to an 8 person tent. It feels huge! My first adventure is next week, i cant wait!

Great tent!

What do I like? The color is fantastic! The space inside and the windows make it feel like a home away from home. The new closet feature is cool to throw our duffle bags in even without putting the poles up. Of course my favorite feature is the patented Coleman swing hinge door so we can pop in and out without worrying about zippers until bedtime. We used the previous version of this tent for about 15 years. 
What I don't like? Well the last camping trip had some huge downpours of rain so the rain cover weighted down a bit to touch the top of the tent and caused some leaking. This may happen with all tents especially in this price range but I think it couldn't be helped with the weather we had. So we put a vinyl tablecloth in between and that worked. 
This tent makes me even more excited to go camping.

This is a must have for camping. We were able to comfortably fit a queen air mattress, night stand, chair, tote, and pack n play in there with plenty of room to move around.
