Yes, The Exerpeutic 1000 Recumbent Bike says only 300 lbs. limit, But I have found that it will hold our weight. I started at 345 lbs. I am losing weight daily and soon will be under 300 lbs.

The framework of this bike, I don't feel, is very sturdy. This is an inexpensive bike so you are getting what you are paying for. I weigh 160 lbs and I feel some movement in the frame when I'm on it.

This will hold you. I can't speak for long-term because I haven't had mine long enough to know that but, initially, it should hold you.

I wouldn&#39;t try it unless you place a wooden block under the center bar on the bottom. There is some flex when someone is riding. I can see it when I am watching.  Over time the screws that hold it together might become strained and break. The manufacturer could include a solid block of wood or rubber and this would surely increase the weight limit.

Absolutely, I was 340  when I originally bought it. Like the other commenter said, you may want to just throw a thin board under the middle part of the base for added support (like some scrap plywood). But I never did and have had it for over 3 years now with no issues.

I am not an expert .I just got my bike a week ago, but I would say yes. The seats are adjustable and you are not really sitting straight up, you are laid back just a tad bit to make your workout comfy. I am 5'6' so not really short, but u shld be fine :-)

To answer your question I moved the seat up all the way and measured. I found 7 inches of seat movement (to the closer) from where I use it. (your knees must be slightly bent at the farthest reach of the pedal) My inseam is 32&quot; -7&quot;= 25&#39;&#39; pants inseam would seem to be the shortest by my method.. You could get another inch wearing thick soled shoes = 24&quot; inseam. Others might have more helpful info.

does this recumbent bike work for a person who is 5' 1" ?

Mostly very quiet. I got to a point where I am able to do the highest resistance setting for an hour and the flywheel gets very, very hot. I think it warped a little and started developing a click-click-click as I exercised. I removed the outer housing so the flywheel can stay cooler and the clicking stopped but now you can see all the interior parts.

Very quiet. Only a slight wirring when in use.

Very quiet. I use it in the morning at 5AM while everyone is sleeping and they never hear it.
