Yes, the wood is sturdy and the quality is on par with other wooden sets I've seen. Ours has been through a windstorm (which tossed it and broke it into 2 pieces...which was fairly easy to repair) and so far a pretty brutal winter, and it seems to be holding up well out there!

Yes, we love it. My dad put it together for her and he's very picky about quality and he was very impressed and said this one was one of the better quality and made ones.

This is a great swingset! It is heavy duty, both my husband and I can swing on it with the kids at the same time. The beams are treated and coveredwith a thick green plastic wrap to prevent them from rotting. The rest of the lumber is cedar and also treated. The guys who put it together said it was a high quality swing set!! Our only recommendation it to have someone else assemble it if you are not familiar with this stuff!! Good luck!

Most of the wood is very sturdy. Especially compared to cheaper sets. It comes already predrilled and stained (low maintenance). The softer wood is reserved for things like the chimney, dormers, and some pieces where you have to drill in things (climbing wall rope piece etc). Overall very good set for the price when compared even to other cheaper sets and similar priced sets. (but I am no wood expert-just can tell you based on my personal experience!)

It is VERY sturdy. It was more sturdy than some I saw when looking at them at the expensive playset stores. when you push on it, it doesn't sway like others do.

Yes. The wood is SOLID, sturdy pieces. We use 4x4 and 4x6 beams to construct them. The wood is double-kiln dried. It is pre-sanded, pre-cut and pre-stained.

Is this a good quality swing set? Is the wood sturdy?

This would not be one that you would want to move. I can't imagine taking it apart. The house section is made up of 4 96" 4x4 beams that connect everything together. You could take the swing arms off, the slide and rock wall and climbing ramp would also have to come off - but that middle "house" section - man, that would be a pain!!! I would not recommend this one if you could avoid it. It is a great playset, though, and kids of all ages LOVE it.

No, this set contains soft sedar wood that is screwed together in alot if places and disassembly would compromise the strenght and integrity of the structure. I would look into getting an all metal structured swing set

Moved 'easily' is a relative term...but I'd say that yes it is definately doable. I posted an answer to a very similar question. Basically here's how I'd do it:

1. Unbolt the swing portion from the main section.
2. Unbolt the legs from the top beam of the swing portion
3. Unbolt the slide and ladder
4. Place the main section on a trailer or in a large Uhaul (laying down, if you can) and then lay the other pieces aside it....and off you go!

Just reassemble pretty much the reverse of how you took it apart.

Yes, You can take this apart and move it. This is a medium size swing set that has extending arms on both sides.

The only tricky part would be the playhouse set up in the center of the set, but after that, all the rest is easy since they are straight pieces.

If you could move with the roof piece pre-built, the rock wall and the climbing ramp in-tact, that will save you alot of time.

I move a lot. Can this playset be taken apart and moved easily?

No Walmart does not offer an installation service for this product. It is actually delivered through a third party feight service which only drops product in front of residence only. Best bet is to have some friends or relatives help as it takes at least two people and approximately 24 hours to assemble.

This product arrives completely unassembled and took my husband approx. 20 hours to assemble it with about 5 of those hours with help from another person. I recommend you hire someone you know who knows how to assemble things and likes to do it. Pay them if you have to because it truly is time consuming but the end product is well worth it. Our kids love it!

Walmart does not supply or recommend any installation services (I think it is an insurance issue) but we asked around and looked into carpenters and home repair companies in our area and found a great pair of guys from our local Fredonia Hardware store and they had it assembled in 8 hours!!

My wife and I were very nervous to purchase a playset of this size because we did not want to assemble it ourselves. We put the word out that we needed assistance and two men from PRo Home Repair, Fredonia NY assembled it (at a very fair cost) and WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DID!!! They began at 8:30 in the morning and had it fully assembled by 4:30 in the afternoon!!! Everything on the playset is heavy duty, my husband and I can swing on the swings with our kids and the playset doesn't rock or shift. We were a little disappointed with the tire swing. It is made of hard plastic, it is too small for our 8 year old and too big for my 2 year to enjoy. We ordered the 2 person glider for it instead. We filled the bottom portion of the playset with sand, our kids have a great time. We would suggest that you hire skilled professionals to assemble this (unless you are skilled with toold and carpentry, there were times the guys had to compensate for uneven ground). Overall, we LOVE it. Delivery was quick and the guys were courteous and put the shipment were we wanted it, the guys who assembled it were great!! We have NO complaints!! Thank you!!
