No, this model does not feature a storage compartment.

the only storage in this unit is ONLY for the cord to be pushed up into it. I absolutely hate this machine! It is the absolute WORST design for a food processor that I've ever seen, and I'm not a young woman, but am 60 yrs old so I've seen a ton of them to base my decision on. I used to love Oster products, have used them for an extremely long time, but thanks to this machine, I'll never buy their products again!

There is a cord storage in the base. The attachments fit into the bowl when stored away.

it MAY, not sure though, haven't tried that. But I did bake some empty banana peels until fully dried out so I could try to grind them up in the processor and it really did a super poor job of that. If you try to use the steel cutting blade instead of the " bread kneading" blade, it seems like the blade doesn't even sit at the bottom of the stem/bowl. I double checked the placement but that's the only way it would go on the stem and as far down the stem as it would go. REally lame if you ask me. I honestly wouldn't use it for trying to do any fine chopping or making any type of nutbutters.

The instructions say will not grind coffee beans, spices, OR ITEMS WITH HIGH OIL CONTENT so I have not tired it for that but I would say the instructions say no to nut butters

I have always considered purchasing a food processor and this confirmed every reason why it is a neccessity for any serious kitchen cook. The convenience and ease of use makes everything practical and will pay for itself with each use.
It is not easy for me to cut onions and have tried various tools and this is quickiest and easiest. It finely chops them or coarsely chops them and cuts the time spent chopping them by hand by at least 2/3 of the time. I can add all the ingredients needed for a recipe and it will chop and mix everything with minimal effort and clean-up is always so easy. It takes longer to chill the salsa and let the spices blend with the food processor then it does by making the salsa by hand (i.e.), 1/4 time to chill and 3/4 to make by hand.
The dough blade is an absolute added bonus, I am still familiarizing myself with the dough blade but it is already an essential tool which will make my bread recipes just as convenient as a bread machine. This makes the purchase of a mixer and blender obsolete, and maybe a juicer. This is a highly versatile kitchen appliance that is adaptable for many uses. It is a counter-top appliance not a seldom used in the cupboard appliance, with as many uses that you need, and clean-up is always so easy.
My daughter was impressed by the convenience of a food processor and will probably have one of her own. My eyes are watering just thinking of the convenience this product has saved me.

A fantastic must have!

I am a baker and sell my goods at the farmer's market.  I was motivated to buy this food processor based on the reviews and see if making pie crusts and scones could be easier.  I am happy to report it can!  I use the chopping blade to make pie crusts and they come out perfect every time.  This is using gluten free flours which is no easy task.  And it does help with scones too.  I use the blending blade to mix the dry goods, then pop on the shredding blade to blend in the butter and it works great.  The reviews were correct.. the manual on this food processor is very easy to use and understand.  It is a very easy machine to use and I have no prior experience.  Pay attention to the directions to unplug the machine before you open the cover!  I really like this machine and recommend it.

It really makes baking easier!

This is a real sweet machine that will sure help make time in the kitchen much easier :-) We use it to grind nuts to make nut butter, grind whole grains into flour, churn cream into butter, grind meats, make dough for breads, cookies, and pizza, shred potatoes, carrots, and so much more. It is bigger, and takes up more space on counter (16 inches high), but works great! I tried using the kneading blade, but for some reason it wouldn't spin, so I put the multipurpose blade in, and in less than a minute, I had a perfect ball of cardamom bread dough. Then I put some big chunks of beef roast to chop up for my kitties, and took about 15 seconds or less. I really don't think the dough blade is necessary anyways because the multipurpose blade worked just fine! I love this machine because it's so much easier to make breads now-hard to do with arthritis and swollen fingers. The instructions are easy to follow, and includes 2 pages of guides for chopping, shredding, slicing, and kneading, with a list of foods, and how to use. Most pieces are plastic, except for the very sharp steel blade, and the 500 watt powered motor makes food processing quicker, and hopefully will last a long time. Has a 1 year limited warranty and BPA free, too. It's a little noisy and did move a bit on counter, but usually only takes less than a minute or so. Some food may take longer, but instructions say to not use more than 3 minutes continually, or will overheat. If that happens, just needs to rest 10 minutes or so :-) In case you want to chop ice, whip cream, beat egg whites, grind coffee beans, spices, any food with high oil content, slice or shred hard cooked eggs, marshmallows, or soft cheeses, pg. 5 of instructions say not to, because it could ruin the blade. It may not be a Cuisinart, but for under $50, I think it's worth it.

SUPER FAST POWERFUL PROCESSOR!

I haven't had a food processor in at least 15 years and have recently been making cranberry/orange relish using a small electric chopper which would take me at least an hour to get the cranberries and orange all chopped, so I knew I needed a food processor.  I researched all the food processors and chose this one based on the ratings and price and have been beyond pleased.  It came very nicely packaged with a manual and I was able to easily assemble it and test it before washing all the parts.  It is very simple to use and it's suction feet make it stay in place on my counter.  The food chute is a nice size.  It made my cranberry/orange relish in less than 5 minutes!  Then I made gingerbread cookie dough using the dough blade by first kneading it a bit and then pulsing it and didn't have to do any mixing of the dough by hand and the cookies turned out great.

Great Great Great!!! The dough blade a plus. The product is a steal for the price. I have been using the dough blade every week to make cakes and bread (1 lb at a time). Also used to cut veggies. It takes up less space on the kitchen countertop than a cake mixer. A multipurpose appliance in the kitchen. A must have if you like cooking and need a food processor for a reasonable price.

I am really enjoying using my new Oster Total Prep 10-Cup Food Processor with Dough Blade . I had an older model that was fine. But this model is improved. I like that the plastic is BPA free. We hear so much about the dangers of chemicals in plastics these days. So this is a safe change that they made. This model also has suction feet that keep it securely in place when using it. My older model did not have that. And this model is also lighter than the older model. The cord has a storage compartment which I like because I don't keep my food processor out on my counter at all times. So I like that I don't have to wrap the cord around it to store it. All the parts fit into the bowl when stored which makes storage easy as well.
This model comes with the dough blade. I am having so much fun with different bread recipes. I never attempted bread making before because it always seemed so difficult. But with this Oster Total Prep 10-Cup Food Processor with Dough Blade it is a pleasure. The dough blade is also great for making cookies and even pizza dough.
the chute that feeds the processor has two different size openings. That's great for different size veggies. The blade allows you to slice. shred or grate. And the manual has instructions for each function as well a some recipes. I used to hate to grate cheeses for mac and cheese. But this processor makes that chore so much easier. And the bowl has measurement marks which I find to be helpful when I have to add different amounts of liquid or other ingredients. There is also a pulse feature that is good for certain types of food and recipes. They really put a lot of thought into this newer model. And I would definitely recommend it as a great addition to any kitchen.

A great addition to any kitchen

I love this machine! When I received it, it was so well packaged that it couldn't be damaged. I was anxious to get started since it has been a long time since I have had one. I loved the cord storage which meant I could bring out the cord for the length I needed and not having a long cord hanging in my way. It was so easy to put together due to the easy to read instruction notes. The instruction booklet was small but printed (even with diagrams) in such a way you just couldn't mess up putting it together. I liked the instructions for using different foods in this machine. I needed cornflakes crumbs for a recipe I was making. I found I could crush to fine crumbs or to larger crumbs just by shortening/lengthening the time I pulsed it. I next tried the slicing blade and was amazed at how fast it is and no torn edges on my food – just a very clean cut. It is FAST! I have yet to try it on my pecans but I know it will do it with no problem. It is so easy to clean up. I don't have a dishwasher so by doing it by hand, I noted that there are no places for food to get stuck making it hard to wash. When I was ready to wash the parts, I noticed I had to tug on the base. I hadn't noticed there were suction cups on the bottom. This machine was NOT going anywhere. If there was a “con”, it would be that I couldn't store all parts in the bowl. I tried but I just couldn't get it all inside. This is a great food processor and yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

We purchased this food processor in May 2018 and just after a few months and no more than 10 uses, the piece of plastic broke off the cup which pushes down on that part of the base, after the cup is locked in.  It is unusable now.  When it did work, it worked well.  We used it according the directions and took good care of it.

Food Processors, for home use, have been around since the mid 1960's. I have quite a long history with using food processors, but not beginning in the 60's, lol. I have been using various brands of food processors since around 1977. So it could easily be said that I am quite familiar with them and how they work and how to use them properly, as well as my in depth experience with the various designs and bowls shapes and cutting/slicing/shredding blades and also the feeder chutes. That being said, I honestly am giving you my review on this product, without trying to mince words.
Just about the only thing that I feel is an improvement in the counter top appliance field is Osters' idea to allow the electrical cord to be able to be pushed back into the rear section of the processors' base, so that it is safely and coveniently contained while not in use. Women are constantly striving to clear their countertops of all the un-necessary clutter and this food processor is attempting to address that need. Yes, it's nice to be able to send the cord back away from view and so that it isn't laying all over the counter top or getting caught and tangled with something else if you choose to place this inside a cabinet. However, It's not that big of a deal for most women and I certainly wouldn't buy a food processor based on that option, alone. Otherwise, I'm hard pressed to rave about anything else on this machine or how it works in general. To put it bluntly I'm thoroughly under whelmed!
Obviously, this unit was designed by a man, or someone who doesn't use a food processor on a daily basis (my opinion). The entire design from inside the bowl and center "stem" to the food chute and the way it locks on the base is all wrong! First of all, I think the booklet that comes with the unit is basically worthless. It doesn't explain anything really, just assumes you already know all about how to use this machine! Like I said, I've been using a whole lot of different brands of food processors since the mid 80's and I'm not what anyone would ever consider a "newbie". But I almost drove myself nuts trying to figure out how in the heck to get the bowl and lid,( which I'd already lined up together and THEN placed onto the base) to line up with the base and lock in! It wouldn't do it at all! SPECIAL NOTE TO ANYONE WHO PURCHASES THIS MACHINE....make sure that the lid is NOT ON the bowl when you first try to lock the bowl onto the base! If it is, remove it, only then will it be able to lock in fully! You can then replace the lid and lock that onto the bowl. Once all of the locks are in alignment, only then will the various buttons to turn the machine on, will even work! With my last food processor, I had to lock on the bowl and then the lid locked into the bowl and the tab when into the slot on the machine to allow it to work. Each machine is different in that respect, but this booklet of pictures and instructions did NOT address this fact at all! I literally, had to bed my son in law to come into my kitchen and show me what was wrong and why it wouldn't turn on! I guess it takes a man to understand the reasoning of this design, hence my reasoning that this must've been designed by a man!
Another hassle that should be addressed by Oster and if they have any sense, they will take this food processor back to the drawing board for a complete redesign, is that everything inside the bowl including the lid and food chutes, as well as all inside stems and attachments are severe sharp angles on everything! Did they have any consideration to someone trying to wash these parts after they've been used? Obviously no! I spent more time trying to use little baby bottle brushes and various tiny implements and knive edges to get into all those tiny nooks and crannies to get the food particles removed! It was simply insane! I've NEVER had that much problem removing food particles and throughly being able to wash and clean a food processor bowl or attachments in my entire life! And, while I'm on that subject, let me tell you that when this lid is washed and rinsed,it allows water to go up into the "clear tube" where the spring is. After rinsing, it allowed water droplets to remain inside that tube and on the metal spring. There is NO way to open that up and dry it out, and I also am sure that in no time, it's going to rust that metal spring as well. Who wants rust in their food? Just another one of the myriad of bad designs on this product!
Lastly, I feel that if they really cared about trying to make this product a big help to anyone using it, they would have made a clear cover for the buttons area, where you pick what level of mixing you wish....as it is now, if you were pouring a liquid into the bowl, and slipped at all, you would most probably be able to spill your liquids as well as flour, etc, inbetween the buttons that are setup like a keyboard style. I don't want to think what liquid or flour allowed to go inside the buttons area would do to the workings of the product's motor, etc...! Not a good thing, Oster! Also, I used the dough blade to try and mix a small batch of bread dough. I put the liquids into the bowl first, then added the other ingredients. BIG MISTAKE!!! The way the "stem" is on the center spool, it allows muck to get up inside the stem and also up inside whatever other attachment you are using. It doesn't allow water to be used to flow through and thus clean it easily, and that's why I was forced to try using baby bottle brushes and steak knives to try and get into those little slots in there to get the mucky bread dough and liquids out of it. Otherwise it would fester and grow all sorts of nasty bacteria!
At the end of the day, I WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone without a complete redesign. That is really a shame as I've grown up with Oster products and had always been able to rely on their efficiency, but I guess that will have to be adjusted now! Sorry, this one just didn't work properly and was not able to be cleaned properly and when I'm making food, I insist on cleanliness!

Don't bother!

I like the price but that's about all. I had to replace my 20 year old Cuisinart and saw some good reviews of this item. I wish I could rate it with zero stars instead of one.
During the first use (shredding cheese), food bits got stuck inside the handle and I couldn't clean them out. Very bad design that leaves places for food to get stuck. 
Have returned the item and will go back to Cuisinart (it's no accident that my last one lasted 20 years)
