My husband put it together all by himself it took him three hours I think.. I wish it had rounded corners..

Great table for the money

I purchased this table to serve many functions in a studio apartment with limited space. It works great in front of the loveseat where it serves as a coffee table and when the top is raised, works well as a computer/work space and dining surface. Be patient when assembling and make sure you have someone to help you during the final steps of fitting the top to the base. Unfortunately I did not (although the instructions say to do so) resulting in a scratch inside the storage space made by the spring hinge. There is a ample storage space under the lift top and the lower shelves as well. Sauder makes great products here in the U.S. I bought the matching side table and 46" TV stand and am very pleased with each.

Rustic, heavy duty but attractive

Love this SO much

I wanted a lift-top coffee table to facilitate eating for my messy 10 year old and his pals while watching TV.  After reading numerous reviews from several different websites I decided to order this Sauder lift-top coffee table. Over the years I have put together many...actually too many...furniture kits like this one. I can say without hesitation 99.9% of them sucked. The only one that didn't was a small bookcase 6 pieces and a back. The package arrived from Walmart, via Fedex, and was delivered to my home three days early. The packaging was OUTSTANDING and the kit arrived in pristine condition. It was heavy  so I opened the carton in the garage and carried the individual parts into the living room. I checked the parts against the included parts list and stacked the relevant ones together. I then sorted each hardware item into individual piles and placed them in baggies which I marked with the part number. Looking at the many pieces and bags of hardware was a bit intimidating, I must admit, so I took a break, made a cup of coffee and got to work. This is what I discovered.

The instructions were absolutely perfect. Far and away the best I have ever seen. If you can't understand them, you're probably a (fill in the blank). If you take your time, pay close attention to the directions and think, I assure you, you will have no problem assembling this coffee table. It took me two hours to get it together. EVERY part fit perfectly and EVERY hole lined up perfectly.  Finished, the coffee table looks good, the lift functions flawlessly and it is everything (and more) I hoped it would be. 

It will be helpful to remember a couple of simple things when you're assembling one.

A. The table is assembled upside down. Took me awhile to realize it.
B.  Be extra careful when you place the assembled top (with the lift brackets    attached-(the last step) inside the storage compartment. You will scratch the inside of the compartment with the metal bracket if you don't.

Overall? 

The quality of the table is VERY good. It is VERY sturdy and heavy. I'm sure my 10 year old will find a way to scratch it but that's not a knock on the table.

If you're in the market for a lift-top coffee table, give this one a serious look.

It's great for the price it looks better than expected

This Coffee Table meets and exceeds all of my expectations. It is the perfect height, weight, size, etc. It looks great too, especially in our dining room. It looks great complementing our other furniture, television and chairs. I am happy with this product and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Good Quality Product. Very good val for the price.

Assembly is time Consuming- took about 2 hours.
There are almost a hundred parts to put together. 
The result is not worth the time and money.
The table lift top opens and closed with a jerk.
Table looks decent but the table top corners are very sharp and I had to buy corner bump guards to keep everyone from getting injured.

Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow for the most part.

They could have pre assembled a few things to save time and effort for the buyer. 

You’re better off finding a table from a local store.

Not worth the effort

Really like the functionality of this coffee table.  However....this is not real wood and does not look remotely like real wood.  It's MDF type product with paper like veneer that is easily scratched.  I already plan to replace the top with real wood and potentially paint the bottom portion for longer use before replacing.  This was also a bit annoying to put together....lots of pieces!
