After looking at several websites, this was by far the best value for the quality of hoop it is. I saw several reviews about the difficulty of putting the hoop together, however I would tell you that my 10-year-old daughter and I put it together - just the 2 of us – in a total of about 3 hours or less. 
We are also impressed with the quality for the price. Highly recommend.

Great quality for the price

The quality is great, Nit  so much fun to assemble.  I am 71 and my grandson 12 and we did it together.  Directions were good but the  short clip eas great help

Basketball fun

My 8yo son received this for Christmas and it has been our most used gift. Assembly was straightforward and took a few hours. My husband assembled mostly alone and I stepped in to help when he needed another set of hands. The goal is very sturdy and great quality. My son has been playing basketball for hours everyday since receiving!

Fantastic product!

This seems sturdy with a bigger base than most. assembly was a little work but not bad. if you scan code and use video it can get a little confusing so i just used the direction. It is a good product and i woukd buy again.

Hoop and back board review

Very well made, but putting it together was a huge pain. The instructions are HORRENDOUS. Most of the parts were also labeled wrong. The screw holes on the front cover didn't line up. Overall I'm happy with it, now that it's put together!

Nice item, terrible instructions

It look great in front of the house. It doesn't look like some tacky goal that the HOA would complain about *insert eyeroll*. The kids lovve it! It gets up to 10', which is regulation height for my sons league. The old one was not nearly tall enough and would ruin his shot in the real game. He was undershooting. His skill level increased after only a week. Much better shot! The rim itself is HUGE. You can fit it around your waist. It's just as big as a gym rim. Which is pretty astounding up close. The worst part about this putting it together. It took three people me and two kids to put the goal post into the base. It was a huge headache trying to guide those bolts into the base without being able to see at any angle. I wish they could assemble this part at the factory. Total time assembling was around 3-4 hours. With much needed breaks. Also, the rebound board holes did not align properly. I wish that I could have gotten more than two screws installed into it, but it must be a manufactures defect. For that and assembly trouble. I give it 4 stars. But it does looks great and well built.

The kids love it

Package came fast and heavily damaged. Completely absurd instructions and difficult to put together. Was missing a bolt and the back board was extremely dirty and scratched up eventhough it had a protective film on it. We ended up finding an exact bolt at lowes delaying the 5 hr process of assembly. Once completed it seems to work as advertised and son seemed happy about it. I think it is lil unbalanced and the backboard rattles quite a bit on bankshots. I am overall happy with the purchase only because my son needed a nee gial badly and it was on sale. Slightly disappointed with the condition, assembly and overall sturdiness of this goal. I give it a 7.5/10 overall.

The backboard is already cracking, we've had it less than 3 months. My kids are 8 and 12. Small and gentle and it's already cracked. Would hate to see what it would look like with bigger kids using it. So disappointing. The metal is already rusting also. Don't waste your money!

Junk

Purchased this hoop for Christmas, three months ago, and the backboard shattered and a large piece of the glasslike  “shatterproof” polycarbonate broke off. I'm glad no one was hurt. No one older than seven has ever played on this hoop. No one was dunking or anything.

Broke after 3 months

Wish I would've read the comments before I purchased goal. After only a couple uses of regushooting backboard developed cracks that I have read other have also experienced. I contacted customer service first they said product must be put back in box which is impossible because once you put pole together it is over 8ft tall and cannot be taken apart. They claimed they set up Estes to come pick it up if I took it apart in 3 pieces but they have never showed up and when I called Estes they said they don't have any type of order for me. Walmart flat out refuses to resolve the issue I message them every couple of days and they just say they are still working on it. Don't waste your money on this junk product.
