Awesome treadmill with incline and folding

Awesome treadmill with incline and folding
I've had this treadmill for a week and it's worked great both for inclined walks and level running. My partner is around 180 lbs and has longer legs than I do and is able to comfortably run on this track. The assembly was easyish. I did it by myself. Warning: they say not to remove the strap around the treadmill until you are close to done with assembly. I accidentally cut it because the note not to cut it was tucked under the strap and not visible until I cut it. But it didn't really impact assembly. The front of the treadmill is on the opposite side from where the console is when you unwrap it. The treadmill comes in a folded position, so if you are trying to put it in place before assembly, you'll want the side opposite of the console facing wherever you want the front of the treadmill to face (the wall, a tv, etc.).You need space for the allen wrench to fit perpendicular to the treadmill so you can secure the side bolts. The allen wrench that comes with the set is 3.25 inches long (both sides) so this is the clearance you need on either side of the treadmill to assemble the bolts at the front. My treadmill was being assembled in a tight space so I had to hand tighten the bolts on one side, use the allen wrench to secure them on the other side, then move the treadmill so I had clearance on the first side to tighten the bolts. The safety guard that you remove in the first step is metal. For some reason I got the impression it was cardboard and thought I'd removed it with the packaging. It looks like a valuable piece of the equipment but it's truly bolted there just temporarily for the sake of shipping. All in all, it took me probably an hour to assemble in an awkwardly tight space, including time to move it myself to the right spot. I'm about 125 lbs and not super strong, so it's not a very heavy treadmill. My last treadmill I never would have been able to move myself.I love this thing. It looks smallish (narrow) but I feel I have more than enough room to run and it feels sturdy when I run. There is a tiny amount of jiggling when you run, unlike the solid stillness of a commercial treadmill, but it doesn't wiggle in an unsettling or dramatic way. I have it set on a foam treadmill mat in a cement garage.I did a lot of research on treadmills and ultimately selected this one for the incline capabilities, the size of the track, the fact that you can fold it up, the smallish footprint, the low price, and the good reviews. I'm super happy with it. I don't have as much time to drive to my gym anymore and this gets me moving every day. I'm super impressed with the quality for the price. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nifty design weighs about half of most treadmills!
Reviewed in Canada on June 1, 2019
The first unit I received had frame damage in transit but Amazon made good, getting me a second unit at no additional expense. I have just finished assembling the new unit and haven't had a chance to try it out yet - I've still got to lubricate the belt before giving her a spin, so my four-star rating may change up or down. But the design seems pretty sophisticated; the treadmill has most of the features I really wanted, and my main problem assembling it was making the whole process more difficult than it needed to be. I got this model, because it has excellent reliability reviews, and I figure that the more complicated models, with automatic grade adjustment, for instance, might be more likely to have issues. The pic shows the unit in the "folded" position and reduces the "footprint" of the unit to about 3 feet x 3 feet on the floor. Fit and finish seems tight and handsome, appreciate the two cupholders and holder for a tablet or digital phone. I think most treadmills are too heavy and bulky for this senior female, but I liked this one being lighter and more compact - still a quality unit and I was right that I was able to assemble it by myself - although it would have been nice to have a second pair of hands at one or two points! All in all - so far very happy.

Update - I'm raising the overall rating to five stars. I finished lubricating and adjusting the belt and have had two sessions of "power walking." The treadmill is quiet - my neighbours in the other side of my semi-detached house won't be disturbed by noise or vibration. (And to make doubly sure, I have installed a folding mat under the treadmill, which is recommended.) It is easy and a joy to raise the unit for storage and lower it again for use. I am really glad that I chose this model on the basis of the reviews and Amazon's recommendation, because if I had bought elsewhere, I probably would have purchased a much bigger, clunkier and more expensive unit, Highly recommended!
