Can you adjust the height of the handlebars?

Hi Bsf, the Pathway has a tested rider weight of 250 lbs. That is not a limit, just what Schwinn tests at. We recommend making sure that your bike is properly assembled and maintained. The owner's manual has a timetable that lists maintenance that needs to be done. It is also important that you're regularly checking your tire pressure and inflating to the recommended PSI. I ordered this from Walmart.com after looking at it in the store, as a gift for myself. Hubby put it together for me in no time. There were two nuts missing from the frame, which wasn't something he was able to just replace, we had to go to a bike shop to get the parts. (This was on a part of the bike that was already put together at the manufacturers.) Once that was done, it was just a matter of adjusting the seat, and I was off and riding. Love everything about this bike except for the uncomfortable seat. I will be buying a softer one for sure! Even found a helmet that matched my new bike perfectly (made by Schwinn also). Very pleased with this purchase! Also, delivery was free and quick!

The bikes arrived in excellent condition and were easy to assemble; front wheel with quick release, seat and handlebar.

you do have to assemble the bike yourself. but once that is done correctly, it's a good value. I would recommend this.

good bike for the money

I absolutely love this bike, the seat and handlebars are comfy and I love the colors.  I have gone up to 13 miles so far and it's a smooth and comfortable ride.

Great bike for the price

I recently got this bike for my birthday and there where little to no reviews for it so I just went for it. When I originally  rode it, it made this loud honking noise when I used the right hand brake, I took it down the road to a bike shop easy fix or you can YouTube the fix, Walmart employees don't all know how to assemble a bike and I don't blame them. I use this bike to explore downtown and go a bit off road, up hills and to lose weight, I was using a cruiser and man this bike cant compare to a cruiser going up hill. Going up hill is a breeze. All around this bike is amazing for the price. I did also get a new seat cover because I do agree the seat is a little hard. I added bike lights and a front basket bag . I also didn't realize this bike is meant for 5'4 and up I'm 5'3. I can still ride but I need to eventually take off the rear bike rack  that I added to make the seat shorter. I live on the second floor apt and its light.

Great bike!

I love my bike. This bike isn't too heavy, I have a beach cruiser as my other bike and I needed a bike that I could lift onto the bus' bike rack, I find this bike is perfect for that. It is difficult to attach a basket on it but I think that just comes down to finding the right basket. The front wheel (and possibly the back I forgot to check) is quick release which means when I need to I can pop of the wheel and fit it into a car. 
The seat is so uncomfortable though, even with a seat cushion its still not comfortable for me but it is easy enough to buy a new seat for it. I haven't had any problems other than the seat in the month I've been using it.

Bike to bus commuting

This bike has been a great purchase. I bought it to replace a 20-year old bike I still had from childhood, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was much lighter weight than my former bike.  While the gear units seem a little cheap, they work for what I need, which is very casual side walk and road riding. I would definitely recommend it, especially for a Schwinn at this price!

Nice and new

Wanted a bike that I could use for exercise and fun. This bike fit the bill. Smooth riding and easy maneuvering. Had the store put the bike together and just needs a little tweaking for my height and the seat needs a pad but otherwise a great bike for the money.

My Bike

I purchased this bike online after reading through some reviews. I personally do not like bikes that have suspension, and this was one of the only solid framed bike I could find in my price range. My husband had quite the time getting the bike put together (something about how I owe him now.) The gears don't shift well. When changing the right-hand gears downward, I have to do two clicks down and one click up to shift to the next gear down (from 4th to third for example, I need to go from 4th to 2nd, then back up to 3rd.) I have only ridden this bike on paved areas, and my chain has come off  in the front at least three times in the two weeks i've had it. I pull a single child trailer behind me with this bike. It did not come with a water bottle holder nor holes for a sturdier built one, and the only one in walmart I could find that would attach is flimsy plastic, so we will see how that goes. The seat is terribly uncomfortable, so I bought a wider padded seat for an additional $30. I would not purchase this bike again, but it will do for now.

A bit pricey for what you get

I really like this bike. It's great looking and a smooth ride considering the low cost. The only problem for me is the handlebars. They are very wide and the measurements would be best suited for a taller individual. I'm 5'4" and the reach is a bit uncomfortable. My husband even mentioned that when he rode it, the handlebars seem quite wide. I will be returning it for something that fits my size better, but I am sad that this bike didn't workout for me.
