I bought it looking at the title... but the laptop actually have only 6GB.

How much RAM memory is there for real?  Headline says 8GB, but under &quot;specifications&quot; it says 6GB.  Which is it?

I was looking for a laptop with the I5 processor running Windows 10. I specifically needed both HDMI and VGA ports. I found this Acer which had 6 GB of RAM rather than the more common 4 GB. I was not shopping for a specific brand, but I have two brands that I will not consider. Since my wife has an Acer desktop which has been great, I decided to give this laptop a try. I installed my Office 365 subscription and this machine performs very well, even with several resource-intensive aps running simultaneously. I had expected to spend at least $80.00 more for a laptop so this was a pleasant surprise.

Great Value

My son recommended Acer to me when I started searching for a replacement laptop.  I am very pleased with my purchase.  6 GB of RAM and a great processor makes it fast. The keyboard is responsive enough for my quick fingers and the display is excellent.  My husband had it up and running for me in record time. I highly recommend this product.  WalMart's low low price makes me happy as well.  Highly recommended!

Can't beat it for the price!

This is my 2nd Acer laptop. The fan in the first one died after 6 years of hard use. The newer one is lighter, faster & has much longer battery life. Walmart offers excellent value on the Acer, which is a basic laptop- perfect for what I need. Love that it has a numeric pad in the keyboard!

Love this PC!

The computer arrived promptly and well packaged.  Once plugged, I was pleasantly surprised at how little bloatware was pre-installed.  Not much else to say about the operating system other than it's Windows 10 (love it or leave it).  All installed apps/programs open quickly and run smoothly.

     One thing to note is that, while the package states that you get a corei5 6200u, the laptop I received actually came with a corei5 7200u.  Yes, you read that correct, this came packed with Intel's Kaby Lake i5 processor.  If you don't need a 4K display or a gaming laptop this unit is a great value.  I highly recommend it.

More than meets the eye

We have three Acer Aspire laptops in the family. This is the third one. The previous two were purchased two and three years prior. Each year the build quality and components seem to be degraded somewhat. For example the keyboard on the original (3+ years old) has a better feel, and the prior two have replaceable batteries. This newest Aspire would need surgery to replace the batteries.  Also, there is no hard disk activity LED.  As a plus, the touch-pad is significantly larger, but I couldn't find a way to easily scroll up or down web pages easily using this pad.  Its a single flat surface with the right/left clicks requiring skillful finger placement. Also, you can click anywhere in the touch-pad.  If you use other touch-pads, this is quite confusing to become accustomed to.  This finger confusion has lead to a few interesting issues such as erroneously moved file directories, highlighting and copying entire webpages, and inadvertently dragging and dropping icons across the desktop.  I haven't mastered this improved touch-pad after two weeks, and I reverted to using a standard mouse.  My blood pressure has returned to normal.  Progress!!! 

The sound quality is not as full and robust due to the speakers now located on the bottom of the laptop. The case is lighter, and has a less sturdy feel than the previous Aspires.   The display is similar to the previous two Apires and is adequate for casual graphics and text use.  Windows 10 Home loaded without issues, but presented a huge window of needless adware for games and apps that mostly obscures the desktop.  I spent an hour deleting all this bloatware to clean-up the desktop.  The look and feel of Win10 is close to Win7, so there was minimal new stuff to learn.    I needed this newer laptop for the USB3 and HDMI ports which are a welcomed addition.   Aside from the product softening issues, this laptop performs as advertised.  It is an acceptable basic laptop that so far performs adequately.  At the sale price this is a good value.   If you have a USB mouse dig it out of storage while you explore the mysterious intricacies of the huge new touch-pad and enjoy your new Win 10 adware.
