its a gaming lap top. it solves the issue of not being able to game on the couch while your gf watches TV. it does what it should. it's not for taking on a flight and watching movies. 

ps battery charger runs hot and fans run loud. but i don't think either of these things detract from the problem it's trying to solve.

Acer's Nitro 5 gaming laptop has been perfect for my PC gaming needs.

I always game with my laptop plugged in; I've never found it restrictive, and I can enjoy watching a movie and gaming from the couch. As such, my experience gaming on the Nitro 5 has only been while connected to power. For the last couple of months that I've had the Nitro 5, my experience has been very satisfactory. I have had no issues with the fan being particularly loud or the laptop being unusually hot. The Nitro 5 is aesthetically pleasing to me, being a nice black device with a gaming computer's bright keypad. The screen resolution, brightness and visuals are all perfectly acceptable to me. So far, I have been predominately playing Sons of the Forest, The Outlast Trials, and Baldur's Gate 3 without any issues. All three games are fairly new and modern and all three run great on the Nitro 5.

I would absolutely recommend the Acer Nitro 5 for any casual gamer looking to purchase a solid gaming rig under a grand.

i just got the laptop so i really cant tell you sbout battery life snd things like that.
But coming out of the box ....new....it feels like a dolid laptop. How I think a gaming laptop should feel. sturdy. A little heavier than others I've had. And I like like that.
My online game, Elder Scrolls Online, downloaded duper fast. usually takes s very ling time but with this little beast, it was about a half an hour.
WOWWIE! 
Keyboard was a little confusing at first. Couldnt figure out. how to control diund volume but i didnt read manual. My fault.
But I figured it out 
So far, I am super happy with this laptop.
I like that Walmart sells new laptops and not furbished ones they don't tell you aren't new... like Amazon does.
Recommended.

My order never arrived. That's lame. I bought this laptop on cyber Monday and it never got to me. Sadly it is not the first time I had issue with Walmart online. I had to wait about 1 hour to speak with someone. Missing items, poor  costumer service.  But I've learned I'm not going to buy here anymore.

This is a great deal for the specs it gives. I got it for an additional 100$ off ($899) and have been playing with it a lot ever since. Performance is buttery smooth on all the newest games. The DLSS and AI Frame generation with the 4050 in it really makes it stand out. I price checked similar machines and even tower form factor theyre worth way more than what I paid fir this laptop. I trust I wont have to upgrade for several years. I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to game long-term on a budget, especially if it goes on sale again. I'm having a lot of fun with it!

well what can I say but wow , this was one of the best buys ever. Looks great,works great have alit of games on rand even forza horizon which isn a large game, love it ,cant say enough good things about it. its definitely a great purchase.. the keyboard lights up ,its fast and smooth. Would definitely recommend.
