Can the cushion covers be removed and washed ?

What is the assemble length of this piece as pictured above?

This set looks good but the cushions are an inch bigger than then actual wicker chairs so they don't fit like the picture. Also, no straps or Velcro so the cushions constantly slip. it bothers me.
