We needed a quick solution when one of our kid's bedrooms was temporarily taken over by new kittens. My daughter's twin bed and frame fit underneath the top bunk still leaving enough room to make use of the desk while sitting in a task chair. Meanwhile my son fits perfectly above and has mastered the ladder. Although it was a temporary problem, both kids love this bed and the way it fits in the room and enjoyed sharing a room for a couple weeks because they thought the bed was pretty great. Now my daughter has a great space to do work and lounge and it doesn't interfere with the rest of her floor space.
I put it together myself, it took a few minutes to sort all the pieces and lay them out but otherwise assembly was straightforward and reasonably easy.

Perfect for our needs.

Love it. Pretty easy to put together. My only issue is the slats that hold the mattress could be a little bigger/stronger quality but they get the job done!

This was such a great buy!! Giving it 4 stars for a couple minor details below but it's amazing! We have 8ft ceilings and there's still plenty of room for my average-height 8 year old with room to grow. We had to drill a hole and add a screw to secure the desk since it didn't come with one, but other than that, it's great quality! We plan to add L-brackets to secure it to the wall since it's a bit wobbly, but I still feel comfortable letting my son up and down. It's safe and solid!

A must have!

This is a nice loft bed. Assembly was a bit tedious but that's the case with most pre-fab stuff.  I knocked some stars off due to the damage in the box.  It's usable but very disappointing.

Damaged out of the Box

We ordered two of these beds and both of the boxes came extremely damaged with the ends completely open and the parts falling out. One of the beds was fine, the other had quite a bit of damage. The desk corner was completely smashed and there was a big crack in the front. My husband had to reattach one of the parts to the underside of the desktop. The paint has quite a bit of irregularities and blemishes on it, but for $279 I wasn't really expecting perfection. They definitely could have been packaged better. They came together pretty easily and my girls really like them. They seem sturdy enough for young teen girls. Hopefully your delivery would be more careful than ours.

Good beds for the price.

I have ordered this bed twice. Both times the box arrived open and the desk top part was damaged. The damage is in the same spot for both beds. I returned the first one and ordered it a second time hoping it would come undamaged. No luck. My son who's been having to sleep on a mattress on the floor is very disappointed.

Damaged on Delivery

We've had this bed for less than 4 months and it's already showing immense signs of wear. My daughter is under 60lbs and does not jump or play on the bed so this should not be happening. I'm afraid it's just going to fall apart one of these days.

Splintering after a few months

The bed is of decent quality for the most part, but the rails that hold the mattress are very flimsy…..my daughter's broke and dropped the mattress within a week.

Broke in a week

Side of Table Top (Q), arrived damaged and will not mount to bed frame Under Back Rail (P). Table mounting area broken out so the side will not reattach. Filed claim with Hilladale, they do not have parts and suggested I return to Walmart.  Note, Table Top is last step after approx 2 hr assembly. This is unacceptable. I would have to disassemble and return it in pieces.

Damaged and no replacement parts available

The box arrived very very heavy but intact. I did not notice any damage to the box. The first item I removed from the box is damaged (see photo). I am nervous to continue unpacking only to find more damaged items and then be told I have to repackage it all for a return, which looks impossible.
