No, the tray is sold together with the easel.

Mine did not come with the tray either, which was a big reason why I bought it. It looks like there are two versions of this easel, and they send you the one with cloth baskets instead of the one in the picture.

Is the tray sold separate? 
Mine didnt come with the tray and it really needs one. One on each side would be excellent.

Is the dry erase side magnetic on this one? The box nor the specifications say if it is or not.

This Cra-Z- Art 3-in-1 Smartest Artist Easel Wood with Chalkboard and Dry Erase Board is a great product. It took some time for me to assemble this art easel , but I used a drill ,that made it easier. My granddaughter loves chalk and painting so this easel is great for her. She loves playing school. I like that it's easy to fold and it comes with 3 storage bins. I definitely recommend this product.

Great Product

Kids love to write, scribble, and draw, and finding paper can get to be a chore. This gives them two sides so two kids can draw at the same time, admire each other's work, switch sides, and go again. It comes flat with everything needed to assemble. My only advice would be to buy a couple of Dry erase pens, and chalk so the kids won't have to wait. Ours love playing school, and the one at the board is the teacher, of course. I think this easel can encourage them in schoolwork, and in art. We have also clipped large paper to it for when they want to do a “Save” picture to hang up. They really enjoy this easel, and get a lot of use out of it.

Very nice 2-sided easel

Overall, I liked this product. It has 2 sets of holes so that if your child is not too tall, it can be lowered. You could even just leave the legs off and have it sit on a tabletop. There is a whiteboard side and a chalkboard side. Both are of decent quality. The little red plastic clip is for holding sheets of paper which was a nice little accessory that they thought of including.

My only issues were the instructions. If they were a bit more specific as to positioning certain parts (like the legs have to be facing a certain way, the hinges were a bit awkward to figure out, etc). I build things, not often, but I do. I ended up having to redo a few steps because they weren't clear. It is not a difficult project but could have gone quicker had it been more clear. My other issue was some of the predrilled or marked holes were not lined up correctly. Thus, our easel has a bit of a wobble. It would also be nice if the wood were sealed instead of raw, but that is my opinion.

On the positive side, I love the storage bins at the bottom. They are super handy and the height of the easel itself is nice since my son is taller.

Create a Cute Little Art Space

Cra-Z-Art 3-in-1 Artist Easel is a great art setup for your kids who like to draw or paint everywhere. It gives my kids an area to express themselves. The easel was easy and simple to build. The direction are clear. You will definitely need a screw driver or power drill to help set it up. I like the clip for the paper you can place on the board for whatever drawing your doing. My kids are able to grab a blank sheet of paper and draw or paint on the white board. It's easy clean up and I don't have to worry about the table being covered in ink or crayons. The only thing I have a problem with is the slightly flimsy cloth storage box they give. It holds all the supplies well, but if you have so much of it and becomes heavy it warps. Eventually, it will wear and tear easily causing you to have to figure out a different way to store their art supplies. It does not come with any erasing tools so you'll need to buy those to keep the boards clean.

Perfect size for young children.  Baskets at bottom hold their chalk/erasers/whiteboard markers.  Only dislike is it scratches my wooden floors because the kids slide it around.  Had to hammer in plastic discs to prevent scratching.   A chalk rail would make it perfect!

Great for young children

I would say the material is not that great and doesn't seem durable
but if kids are careful with it, it could last longer...
If you are looking for something durable and resistant this is probably NOT
the one to be honest but it can hold up for some time. Mine came a little 
damaged on the Chalkboard side but not to noticeable... 
I love the 2 fabric bins on the bottom ( purple & red ) for boy and girl. 
It would have been great if it would have come with a small tray to place 
the dry eraser and some markers and chalks in addition to the bins but 
it's still a good product... the assembly part is easy.... if you are a handy 
person you should be able to get it done by yourself but if not you might 
need the help of someone else to help hold it here and there...

Nice

I got this for my 6 y/o. She loves to draw. It's a bit too small for her. She still loves it. The easel is a bit flimsy and will scoot across wood floor. The hinges always fold up when she is drawing. The easel comes with 2 storage bins that Velcro onto it. It has two sides to it. Dry erase side and chalkboard. It has a clip in n the chalkboard side to hold a piece of paper to draw on. The easel will fold flat for storage. Very convenient! 6 y/o is very happy with it.

Great for smaller kids

The Cra-z-art 3 in one artist easel is a fantastic option! I have 2 young artist in my home & adding this to their art area has been a plus! They use the included red clip to hold paper & draw or paint then hanging allows it to dry if needed. I find them playing “teacher” all the time now! They pretend their just like a teacher with a whiteboard and chalkboard. Our youngest is still learning to read so the easel is a great place for us to practice her sight words and sentences. There's no shelf for chalk or markers but 2 hanging fabric bins are great storage. If you don't over pack the bins you can fold up the easel with them attached for out of the way storing. When you assemble theres 3 holes to attach for height offering about a 6” height difference; lowest, middle and highest. You can change the height without tools as child grows. The wood trim is basic no stain. But easy to paint for a fun color or sand a little and stain for a more unique look. I stained ours after this review with a espresso color to match furniture and it looks fantastic and more expensive! Assembly was easy but not super fast. Use a drill with a Phillips head bit if you have one. Make sure you attach folding hinges on in correct direction for opening and closing. If you're looong for an easel this is a great option leaving a small footprint in your homes space. My children are tall and ages 6 1/2 & almost 8 & they can use it no issues and enjoy it!

Easel play!

Putting the chalkboard together was pretty easy. It only took about 15-20 minutes. I only had to look at the directions when needing to know where the screws went. Once finished I noticed on the chalkboard side the left leg was shorter than the other. Otherwise I didn't have any issues. The baskets at the bottom are fairly stable and the Velcro hasn't come loose when holding toys or pencil boxes and such. The dry erase board and chalkboard don't leave streaks or stains when cleaning.

Cra-Z-Art Wooden Board

My kids enjoy this for being able to be creative in their little space and have a place to get crafty. It was easy to set up for them and comes with little bins for their tools. Since we have a boy and a girl that are in this age range it works out well for them to have their own basket and 2 sides to use so they aren't fighting over it, because inevitably when one starts playing with something the other shows interest at that exact moment. I do think it could use a few small improvements though. It really needs an actual ledge so that they can put a marker or piece of chalk down on it if you're taking a break. It's also a little bit flimsy which worries me but they are only gonna need it when there's a small so they will outgrow it eventually anyway. Mainly I would really like to see it have plastic buckets for the tools and markers and crayons, because the thin fabric will not hold up to a lot of weight or a lot of bulky items without getting out of shape, and if there were hard plastic bins that had an edge on them that would grip onto the word area then it would feel a lot more sturdy to me. Overall it serves its purpose but I don't let them move around because I am not sure how well it would hold up to a lot of wear and activity. It does have a clip which is nice so we can put up paper for them to draw on and then move that to the refrigerator later so that they can work on something else. It's also nice to be able to put up coloring pages for them and then they actually feel like an artist instead of trying to make them sit still they can stand up and move around and wiggle water coloring because they're still small enough they don't sit still too well. I do like that it can be folded up and stored or moved for space but that is an easy to do when you have a lot of crafting items and stays in its own spot in the corner. It does erase well but the wood absorbs markers so if we plan on keeping this around we may have to finish it or paint it at the least because it's already picked up some stray marks.

Kids like it, I'd like to see some changes
