Hi Rushi, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Ball Animal + is a UP13 model just like the Ball Animal; both have the same suction and performance; the only difference would be attachments. The Ball Animal 2 is a newer model, but it has the same suction and performance.

I owned a Dyson Animal vacuum years ago but when it was eventually not repairable, I bought a less expensive vacuum. I think I had forgotten how amazing it was. I went through two other vacuums between that Dyson and this new/refurbished vacuum. It picked up so much sand (we live in Florida) from our carpets that I was amazed! And disgusted by how poorly the old vacuum was working. 
Save yourself the hassle. Don't bother with a less expensive (cheaper) vacuum. This refurbished one comes with a 6 month warranty too.

What value!  Mine was 139.99.  It came a day earlier than promised.  It is so powerful and has several attachments....not to sure what they're all for.  Powerful and easy to use.

My 16 year old Dyson Upright Vacuum finally was retired. I purchased this refurbished Dyson Animal Vacuum and received it with free shipping by mail a day early. The vacuum appears like new and works very well. I purchased a Walmart warranty. Dyson provides a 6 month warranty. Very pleased with purchase to have a great Dyson product at an affordable price!

Great value

good cleaning power

For the money an being a b grade product it was excellent. Works very well the best i ever used an i used two other Dyson before i owned now infact .i got this one for my daughter an i tried it out an it was amazing on how much better it works then the other ones i got .so i bought 2 of these now in less then 2 weeks .

Refurbished animal

I was expecting an item that had a minor factory defect that was corrected by the factory. This looks like a customer return that was used for a long time, returned for refund, fixed by the company and resold. Obvious wear on the bin and the cord. The filter was clearly replaced, but dirt (not dust) inside the filter cap. Yuck.  The back page of the manual has been cut off. This item is used.

It seems to work OK, will test it a bit longer and see if this is a keeper or not. 

First impression isn't going well though.

Well... not what I was expecting

feels cheaply made, flimsy. difficult to assemble. It does have good suction, is easy to maneuver, and works really well, but we've had multiple problems with it right out of the box. Had to have canister replaced right away. Also the stabilizer is faulty. Dyson is difficult to reach via phone if the problem can't be resolved online, with long wait times. Have to clean it, load it up, take it to UPS, and send it out of state to be repaired, meanwhile go without a vacuum while it's gone. This has been so much extra work and hassle for me from the get-go. Giving 2 stars because it does have good suction and works well, but it is not well made. I hate that I missed my return window through Walmart. It comes with 6-month warranty through Dyson, but as stated, this is not always convenient. I did purchase the protection plan, but it looks like you have to file a claim through State Farm to use it. Not user friendly and alot of work. If you spend good money and expect to get a good product, it is very frustrating to have to do this. Dyson has a good reputation. Maybe we got a lemon, but it's definitely ruined me on Dyson from now on.

flimsy construction, lots of problems

I hate this vacuum. It cleans fine, but I am always having to unclog it or stick my hand in the bin to empty it properly (yuck!).  A small candy wrapper or dime sized piece of paper can send it into fits.  Falls over often. The hose is annoying and you have to use it all the time because it does not catch any crumbs on the edges of the room. It takes like three steps to pull the dang hose out! Would not recommend. Makes me angry every day.

Annoying to use

This vacuum is very heavy. The "ball" concept probably would work good if you were walking down a long straight hallway if a long forward direction. But most people don't vacuum that way, you use short back-and-forth movements. The problem is changing directions and pulling that big heavy ball backwards is very difficult. It also won't go under furniture, you have to switch to an attachment for that. There are so many attachments, that you now have to clear out a shelf or drawer just to store them all, it is way overkill on the attachments. This vacuum seems like it was designed by a group of engineers in a lab that have never actually vacuumed a home. I returned this. Glad Walmart has free returns, other sellers of this refurbished vacuum require you to pay for return shipping for this 23 pound beast.
