I love the spout that allows you to drain oil. I used it outside in 42 degree weather and it still heated up rather quickly. The ready light is another great feature.

XL deep Fryer

This was my first time frying a turkey and it was easier than I thought it would be. My turkey was actually 14.89 pounds so I was concerned it would be too big but it fit in the basket perfectly and was easy to lower the basket into the oil with minimal splatter. The turkey was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Love it

I love this deep fryer, I fried my turkey for the first time and it was delicious. Definitely use it outdoors due to the smoke when entering the food but it is worth the investment.

Great Fryer

This works so wonderful! Fries turkey perfectly and it is super easy to clean. 
Recommend that you use between a gallon and a half of peanut oil that it is in between of the min and max marks of the fryer.
Will definitely use this fryer again.

Best Thing they came out with

We just got finished eating our Thanksgiving turkey we fried in our fryer. It was cooked all they way to the bone. We followed the temps and times listed in the booklet that came with the fryer. Our turkey was crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. It cooked in 30 minutes to perfection. We won't do it any other way from now on. Very satisfied customers here!!

This safemode feature came on during a 10 minute fry. I've been following directions ever since to reset it. It won't work. The light turns on when I lift the control panel up a little bit, but it won't work anymore. I cleaned it, let it cool, and nothing. No luck.

Worked perfectly for frying turkey on Thanksgiving; however tried using it again and it would not work at all.  I could never get it to come on again.  I did not purchase the extra warranty, but nor did I think I would only get to use it once.

It worked great until the wires burnt through the plastic housing, filling the house with smoke and the smell of burnt electrical.  Farberware told me to call Walmart, then Walmart told me to call Farberware.  No help anywhere.  There is a huge design flaw in this item.
