IN 2004, I PURCHASED A WHITE IN COLOR 
 GE MICROWAVE. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS OR ISSUES UNTIL I INADVERTENTLY BROKE THE PRESS BUTTON DOOR  RELEASE  HANDLE AND I CRACKED THE TURN STYLE ROTATING  GLASS TRAY INSIDE.  IF I WERE MORE CAREFUL AND NOT SO ROUGH MISUSING IT - MY WALMART GE MICROWAVE WOULD STILL BE WORKING. GE IS A HOUSEHOLD NAME AND A WELL PROVEN ESTABLISHED QUALITY BRAND THAT I TRUST.

I LOOOOVVVEEEE MY GE MICROWAVE (BLACK)!!!

GE makes a great and easy to use microwave. Very easy to clean and take care of. I love the preset buttons for potatoes! Grill night has never been easier when my potatoes take half the time. My husband loves the 1 minute timer for heating his afternoon coffee.

Great Product!

We selected this particular microwave because it is the exact same one we purchased almost 10 years ago. We based this purchase on 3 reasons. 
1. The product must be good if it is still being manufactured. 
2. The first one worked perfectly for almost 10 years.
3. We already knew this model would fit in the built-in cabinet.

Workhorse

Automatic features are great. This thing is the best microwave we have had so far and we got out first one in 1986. This is our 7th microwave and we love it

Great Microwave

I like the easy to use buttons. Everything was laid out logically and the add 30 sec works great. It's a little larger than my last microwave so I can explore larger dishes/recipes. The four beep alert is not extremely loud to my ears. Which is a good thing late at night!

Great Kitchen Update

Overall I like it a lot. After cooking, it will beep every minute that I haven't opened the door. Unfortunately, it doesn't do the same for the kitchen timer. There have been times I want to leave something on for another minute. I have to stop the beeper and reset it for the minute. If I leave it alone after the kitchen timer rings, it just keeps going. That can also be a good thing. The button to push open the door is oddly flimsy. If you push on one side of it, that side will depress while the other side doesn't. When the door closes, both sides of the button are polished back out. It seems to heat things well. I have waned usome things and have used the defrost too. I haven't tried any of the “auto cook features. It is a good size (1.4 cu. ft). It seems a bit deep, so it takes a bit more room on my counter.  That isn't a big deal for me. I knocked off one star because of the funky door button and because it doesn't give me the one minute reminders for the kitchen timer. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

The microwave works fine but after only three months the control panel is already bubbling and cracking on the most frequently used spots.

I've only had the oven for about 3 months and the Mylar surface is starting 
to flake off on the control panel.

My one star review is NOT for the microwave. It is for the condition of the box (See attached pictures) in which Wal Mart brought to me at the pick up kiosk. I was told this is how they received it. I think this is unacceptable to pass this on to the customer. I asked for another one and was told they didnt have any more in the store. This was for my 92 year old mother and I could not imagine the stress I would have put her through if she saw the box!!!! I had to take it home where my husband and I gave it a very thorough testing. We did find one small dent on the back left side that will not show when its on her counter. I had decided to use the pick up in store rather than having the microwave shipped to my house so that I wouldn't have to worry about the rough handling from the delivery companies. So much for my reasoning....Wal Mart does not care about their reputation or their customers! Buyers beware!!!!
