This product uses 630 watts with a momentary peak amperage draw of 28 Amps at the time of compressor startup and an amp draw of 6.3 amps during compressor run.

The momentary current draw of 28 amps leads to a momentary power of 3300 watts. Most all circuits are rated for 20 amps, so something must be wrong because that power would surely trip the breaker on that branch circuit...! The answer must be in error, or they have a capacitor to provide for this peak power because the house current breaker would surely trip at that draw.

It says 61 degrees but ours never cooled off small room.

What is the wattage requirement of this unit?

This unit cools our 140 square foot camping trailer very well.

I am using this in a small guest bedroom. We have had extremely hot weather lately and fans have not improved the comfort in this bedroom....they just blow the hot air around. I am pleased with the temperature reduction in the room. My dog naps in this room while I'm at work because it is the coolest space in the house.
Easy installation and quieter than I expected.  A good value for the comfort it delivers.

I am very pleased with how easy it was to get set up and start using.

This Haier portable AC is way better than expected.  It functions very well and we love the option of using it as a dehumidifier if we need to.  Great buy.

Excellent product. Love it.

I had always heard these portable units were not that good but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.  I have a bedroom that needs new windows so until I replace them this was a quick fix.  It cooled the room from 82 to 68 and I had the fan speed on low.   Was absolutely worth the price.

Much Better Than I Expected

so far, it hasn't been very effective in the living room which is about 14x15. I'll try it in a bedroom and hopefully get better results

this a/c only gets a small room to 82 degrees. no very pleased with this item. for over 200 dollars I expect this small room to be cool.

81 is the coldest temperature it can make

This particular unit does not work well. I have a very small 3rd bedroom and the temperature only went down 1 degrees in 4 hours. I have another portable unit that cooled the same room in less than an hour. 14 degrees difference. I do live in North Florida and the temperature in the room according to the unit thermostat was 88 degrees.
