This playset requires 3 AA batteries to operate.

The car wash does not require water and works by a person twisting a knob to move the car through the plastic pieces that are supposed to be car cleaning machinery. I wasn&#39;t impressed with the car wash and neither were my kids.

What type of batteries are required for this toy?

No water needed, it is just for the imagination.

The car wash does not need water.  It attaches to the play set by a ramp.  The cars roll down into the mouth of the shark and it closes on them.  Once you are done pretending the car is getting washed you reset the shark wash by pulling its tail back into a locked position.  It is then ready to accept a new car into its mouth for a car wash.  Great pretend item my boys love it

It was a present for my elder son for his birthday which was 2 weeks ago. And I think it's one of his favourite toys. He likes to play it every day and we have already bought near 25 toy cars for his garage. And there are still a lot of place for the new one. Good quality for reasonable price. Strongly recommend.

Best gift

I purchased this for Christmas,  I'll admit the price is high  the prices range from  $78.99, $88.00 , $99.00 , $68.00 to $55.00.  Even though this is a great item and my son wanted this for Christmas I didn't want to spend a lot of money,when the price dropped to $68.00 some thing came up and we couldn't get it and a week after the price was $78.99 again, so i decided to wait until Black Friday I saw the Walmart ad for Black Friday and the price was the same, in store  they had it for $88.00 and online was $78.00, so I decided to check every day to see if the price dropped, because I wanted to get this for $68.00 if not less and finally a week before Black Friday I found it for $55.00 so i had to get it I'm so happy that I got it for this price I'm not sure if the price is going to go down again but I know that Walmart every so often will  lower the price on items for about 1 week and then they will raise them up again to the regular price very satisfied with this product and I know my son will be really happy on Christmas. This hotwheels ultimate car garage  comes with a  car wash, if you guys don't mind spending money on this is a great buy  and is cheaper on Walmart then most stores and  online vendors.

Excellent product

We got this for our son for Christmas this year as he had been asking for it for a while. We saved it to be the last gift he opened because we knew he would want to assemble it and play with it immediately!  He did just as we expected! As he was playing with it, he said under his breath, "This is like the BEST gift ever!"  Warmed my heart to know we made his Christmas. ❤

Get ready, because it's bigger than big. I could not prepare myself though I tried for how gigantic this thing is, but it's awesome. My five year old had wanted it since he saw it at while shopping during Christmas and his birthday is in January so we told him we would get it then if he still wanted it. Needless to say, he still wanted it and was fully expecting it. We are not parents that buy lots of toys and we actually try to keep a very small amount of toys in our house so us getting this was a very big deal. My son loved it and what's also precious is he wanted to assemble it with his dad on his birthday so that was a special time and it wasn't hard to do. My kids play with it everyday and there's enough cool things to do that they don't have to play together to play either. Of course their favorite is the shark track. I find it not too loud and it has to be pushed in certain areas for the sound and lights to go off. While it is made of plastic, we've already had the neighborhood kids over that have walked on parts of it and thankfully nothing has broken so far! We enjoy it very much. Like I said, be prepared for it to take up A LOT of room

What they wanted

This is a great toy for kids to enjoy and interact with.  Instead of watching TV or playing with their smart phones, the kids can put this toy together and use their imagination.  It's very easy to assemble, even a 5 year old can do it.  The toys are durable and very high quality.  Once the kids are done playing with it, the toy folds up small enough to fit in a small drawer or shelf.  The best part is the kids have so much fun playing with it.  I purchased this toy as a sample and am sharing my honest opinion about the product.

Perfect toy for my kids!

This is quite a big set as the name "Ultimate" suggest. Let me first talk about assembling this set. At first i was overwhelmed by the number of pieces and quite few pages of instructions. I took me, my 5 years old son and 8 year daughter almost one hour to assemble it. At first it looks little hard, but soon you get the hang of the sets. All the pieces snap easily and the big picture on the packaging box helped me a lot. The tracks are snapped together with a joining clip and make sure it snap well to have a smooth track. This set takes a lot of space, so make sure you have enough space to enjoy this. The cars roll smoothly on the track. Once you put batteries, the car vrooming sound is pretty amazing, but the best sound is helicopter sound. You would feel a trill when you hear it.
Once the set it built together, me and my kids loved it and played for quite some time. The eating shark is pretty awesome and i wish the shark made some sound too. The elevator takes the cars up and down. The car wash area does not do anything and seems unnecessary extension. Overall a nice set which can keep your kids busy for quite sometime. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

Great set for both kids and grown ups

Watch the directions carefully. Make sure you put the parking garage stickers on the correct levels as they already have some stickers on the front edge to number them. Playset is bigger than I thought. Make sure you have lots of room. Good quality.

The Ultimate Garage is made of plastic, takes up a lot of space, and we wish it had a volume button. That being said, everyone, including the adults, play with it and love it. The 2 car racing ramp is the most fun. There is also a super fun spiral to drive cars into the shark bite. My son loves that he can drive his car into the garage, close the door and hear it being worked on, drive into the gas station and here the old fashioned "ding ding" for gas. The helicopter pad has landing sounds and cool lights. The fire station makes an emergency siren sound for his fire trucks. Can fit 36 cars in the garage slots. Has lifts to drive cars on to and elevate them up to parking level. Seems sturdy enough to last through his childhood. Plenty of places to add new pieces to it. Great bday or xmas gift!

Great for the hot wheels kid in all of us

We haven't opened the box yet, as it's a Christmas present but I wanted mention that it could not have come in more obvious packaging. It was delivered 5 minutes before my sons bus arrived and I had to run and find somewhere to stash it. It is a very big box. Just wish it had come with a covering.

waited for months for this toy to be back in stock.. even signed up for email notofications ..  ( this was never in stock at any walmart locations near me)  Bought this toy online recently as i was doing a regular check on the stock online  ..didnt receive any notifications at all about it being in stock again .. . anyway i was very happy to place the order beacause  my son has been waiting for this toy forever .. it was delivered quickly.. the features are awesome but when we installed the batteries we found out that the lights and the sounds are not working ! what a bummer ... will be returning it to the store ! my son is so disappointed !
