    The Swami is a very simple “no frills” GPS. Read the product description carefully. It is an accurate description and don’t expect anything more this unit than what it tells you. First off, the magnet is very strong and will not fall off of the carts window frame upright during use. It won’t even slide down. It is very stable. It picks up GPS signal in less than a minute from power-up and “play mode” is selected. The course you are at will be at the top of the list. You may have to choose which 9 hole course you are playing first if the course if flipped their 9’s that day, or you play at a 27 hole course. It is simple and straightforward. The score keeping is not good on this unit. My suggestion, just keep a regular scorecard. You get three yardages and their is no hole layout. You can distances to hazards quickly by pressing the “right hand arrow” and pressing it again will bring you back to your regular yardage screen. This unit is $100. Spend more if you want more. I got so sick and tired of shooting pins with my laser, I find this to be a welcomed little tool. I keep my laser in my bag, but usually don’t remove it anymore. I’m a 9 handicap and this works fine for me.

    It really is so cool. It works great, has a nice bright screen. Resolution really is terrible for 2022 standards, but I read the specs and expected that. Magnet is strong for cart usage. Also has a belt clip that just attaches to the magnet. Seems to be accurate (but I tend to find every GPS gizmo my buddies have are all pretty accurate out on the course). However...the 6000 was clearly designed/manufactured years ago now and I'm kind of annoyed with 2 things. OK, I'm really annoyed. 1. Micro USB connector instead of USB-C. I just recently got rid off all things non-USB-C in my life and here is the Izzo Swami 6000 to ruin it all! 2. You can't charge it and use it at the same time!!!! When you connect the charger it overrides all functionality and you're stuck on a black screen with a battery meter on it.

    I promise to love this little device for this golf season and give our relationship an honest effort. But I do predict these 2 things are going to eat away at that love.

    My Izzo Swami 6000 has been an appreciated addition to my golf bag. It’s helped me the past couple of years to train my eye and brain for the distance between my ball and the pin. I also use the Swami to help me gauge the distance between my ball and a hazard such as water or a bunker. Better knowing which club to use has helped my game. I am a casual, moderate golfer with no need for laser accuracy in estimating distance. I play to relax and enjoy the day, so I didn’t want expensive technology. The Swami fits my needs and my wallet.

    I've had a number of golf GPS units, none that I've been very satisfied with for one reason or another. This one has it all. I've used it a number of times already. It is fantastic in all aspects. Great price, charges quickly, holds charge for a long time, finds the course quicker than any other I've had, accurate and magnet sticks extremely well to metal on golf cart. It's small enough to put into your pocket when you need to walk across the fairway but screen is large enough to easily read when it's mounted on the cart. If you're looking for a great little GPS for a great price, this is it.

    (Initial review when new) Purchased this to replace my Golf Buddy. The good news is that it pulls up the correct course quickly and it's very accurate. There are two problems - one is that if you want to keep score you need to stay on the green of the hole you just played to enter that information. If you leave the green and approach the next tee box before you record your score it switches to the next hole and there is no way to go back. That's a real problem if you're being rushed or are in the habit of recording your score while waiting to hit on the next tee. I have never been able to complete a round without having to abandon the scoring feature and other players get really peeved if you stand there fiddling with your rangefinder. The other problem is that you can set the device to automatically turn off after about half an hour or stay on. Even though we're moving constantly and I'm checking distances or recording scores it seems to turn off after a couple of hours after setting the device to stay on.
    UPDATE #1: I changed this to a one-star rating because 1) the third time I used it I couldn't pull up the course I was on (major course in Denver suburb!). I updated the firmware at Izzo suggestion 2) Not being able to enter score once you leave green is a killer. Izzo response was "once you're 40+ yards down fairway you should be able to switch back and enter score"! Are you kidding? I'm focused on my next shot at that point! and 3) It keeps turning off after about six or seven holes. Gonna sell on Ebay.

Les escribi para darles toda la info del campo y despues de varios intentos me respondieron que seguramente saldria en una proxima actualizacion.     The first unit I received did not work. From that experience I learnt the following:
    #1. Amazon’s return policy is simple/easy to follow and worked seamlessly…..full marks.
    #2. Izzy Support was extremely professional, and although they were unable to repair the unit, they were great to work with…..full marks.

    The replacement unit was received in record time. The replacement unit is working well. It is simple to use and I enjoy the magnetic function that allows the operator to mount the gps unit where it is easy to view. I did hear about users who left the unit on the cart when leaving in a hurry. I have addressed this concern by using a storage case. I use an old eye glass case, that I put in the cart, with the belief that I will see the empty case and remember to grab the gps unit. We will see. I have found that the batteries last two full rounds before recharging.

    Only used it once so far on a course that was redeveloped a few years back so wasn't sure if it would pick it up. It did. It was very accurate as well, surprising my playing partner who had an expensive range finder. Shot distance option is pretty cool as is the hazards distancing. all up pretty much exactly what I was looking for so very happy. Price was worth waiting a few weeks for as well.

    I bought this in February 2021 as a replacement for a GPS unit that died. So far, it's been great and gives, as far as I can determine, accurate measurements to the green and hazards. But I stopped short of giving it five stars as it doesn't automatically detect which course I'm on as I have to select the course manually every time.
