Yes....though one can use the Dish remote as well since LG people are so helpful they walk you through the steps to program the Dish remote.....only thing is it will not turn on/off with Dish....so have the LG remote handy.  It is still great that 99.9% of what I need to do is now done on the Dish remote as am used to it.

Bought this LG TV 4k because I wanted a 4k TV and as a first 4k I wanted to start small and affordable.
One question I had 2as if 4k is that much sharper on cable or sat. .
I feel that the ease of set up and the smart WiFi features made up for the fact that I see very little picture quality increase.  For niw, but dish network has a 4k system so I will be look at getting a true 4k signal.
But even as is I would pay to have the updated technology and the smart features.  Any app you want you can load.  No limited programing like using a Google card or vudi card.  Both are good but limited the access to the ever changing on line access.

I gave it a 5 because the picture is excellent.  True clear and great color images.  Can't wait 5o have a 4k signal.

LG 4k 55 inch

Very happy with purchase.  Awesome picture. Sound is a little weak, but exceptable. I use a sound bar when watching movies. Only downside for me is the navigating system for the smart features is difficult or hard to use.  Could use more memory as well. But hey I can stream Netflix and Amazon with no problem.

Great picture

Arrived a day early in excellent condition. We've had it almost two weeks now and it's amazing. Sound quality and picture quality are stellar. LG is a dependable company which is why I chose this brand. I bought the protection plan from Walmart just in case. So far so good!

Love this tv!

Great TV and a great value. This replaces a Phillips 42" LCD that was starting to have back light issues.  It came packaged in a plain box, but was packed well.  There was no damage.  I mounted it on my wall and so far so good.  I use it with an antenna and Netflix and some you tube.  I hooked up a wireless mouse to it to use with the on screen keyboard.  It's easier than using the remote for that purpose.  I am slowly learning to use some of the other features.  I like it so far.  I did purchase the 3 yr warranty plan which I don't usually do just in case, but its working great .  Good value for the price.

This is my 1st 4K TV and I'm loving it. The picture is very clear and the app that you can put on your phone to operate the TV is flawless and better than any remote that you can buy for it. The apps are pretty cool on this tv, I don't use much of them because I dream from my phone alot  and it's does that like a pro too. It's the best TV that I have had so far and if I had the choice again I would do it. And P.S. the silver trim on it is a very nice touch

The sweetest buy I ever made

I had first bought a different brand. I was not happy with the picture quality when viewed from the side. It looked good when directly in front, but off to the side the colors got washed out. When I went back to Wal-mart, I compared the TV's they had on display to confirm it wasn't just the set I had gotten. The same thing occurred in store on all of the 4k sets of that brand. So I started looking at all of the TV's to find the best picture quality from all different angles. LG has the best picture IMHO. I would advise doing the comparison yourself before buying. Don't rely on brand as I did at first. What I like may not be the same as what you like.

My first attempt to buy this set was a disaster.  It arrived, shipped to my home with the screen crushed in three places.  Big logistic hassle but return was professionally received.  This time I shipped to a store and had them plug it in before accepting.  Just what I wanted.  Excellent product, great price.

Second time the charm.

TV works great for a couple hours then turns off and on again by itself. Happens every time. Not worth the couple dollars saved. Glad I got protection plan.
