It is possible - the base is VERY heavy once filled though. If you filled with water, it would be easier to empty, move and then refill.

It's possible but you may need help, we filled ours with 5 bags of sand so it's another 250 lbs. that your moving, but, it does have wheels so all you have to do is have help tilting it over onto the wheels and just roll it away.

I don't think it is too hard to move. I would use water instead of sand though. It will make it easier to move. You will get a good pre workout moving it through the grass. ;O) In my opinion this would be a good choice. I'm female, 5'6 140lbs and I can move it fairly easily.

Is the only way to empty the water is to turn it on its side?

Yes it is portable. You will probably need two people to pull across the grass.

You have to bolt the pole together (3 pc's.), assemble the backboard springs and attach the board and weight to the pole.

The entire system but it's relatively easy, especially between two people

Just some basic wrenches and a mallet is all you really need. SAE will work but if you have some metric wrenches it would be helpful. Helps with two people but you can do it yourself, Does require some strength by yourself.

My daughter and I spread it out over 3 evenings (after work). Spent the first night organizing, identifying and labeling pieces. Spent 2nd night putting together the big pieces (base and main pole). 3rd night I begged a handy neighbor to come help finish the hoop, net and rim - that is the hard part. You will need hours and more than one person.

Assembly will take approximately 3 hours.

she loves it ,,not board anymore

My 11 year old son loves it because he can dunk on it. Sturdy enough for the price, though when I went to order another one just a few days later, Walmart had raised the price from $60 to $80.

Decent quality for the price

This is a really nice basketball system. Not the best of directions but if you take your time it's not too bad. Love the ease of raising it from 8' to 10'. You can not go wrong for the price. When completed it looks like systems that cost hundreds of dollars more.

Great Buy!!!

After three and a half hours we finally got the goal together and realized some of it was wrong and had to redo it.   There are no words in the instructions.....only pictures.  I had a neighbor man that was going to help me and after looking at the Manuel he said he couldn't.  I hired a retired maintenance man because he had worked at a school and figured he had done these before.  He said it was the hardest thing he had ever put together.
The goal itself is very nice but so so hard to assemble.

Love the goal but not the assembly

Had it 2 weeks so far seems sturdy enough for a young teen but I wouldn't reccomend dunking on it.Instructions were very difficult.Worth the money so far.

For the money its worth it

Not easy to put together. We had hard time screwing together the 2 pieces that hold the foot up, I had to slightly bend the tip for it to sit properly on the foot. One of the pics shows the area that I am talking about. I don't think it would take long to put it together but for me it was because I was doing it with my 2 sons teaching them how to put something together.  The overall product is good so far.

I looked at alot of B-Ball sets and settled on this one simply because it said  N.B.A Certified. Which shoul be

I read alot of reviews for most of them.
And the ones that seemed worst seemed to all be because of directions. 

With most complaining about directions 
This one was No different 
It took 5 to 6 hours to set up
And was not finished correctly due to the fact that 1 or 2 parts came from the very beginning. 

So I'd have to completely take it apart and start all over. (NO THX)

and I'm not particularly happy about the construction of this set.

A few places where its just,,,,(screws into plastic) that you can already tell ahead of time that they are just gonna pull/strip right out.

Most people are just looking fot the cheapest one.

And I thought paying a little bit more wouldve meant a little better construction but thats not the case.

And they offered to put it together for another $180.

But i couldn't justify paying almost $200  to put together a $200 item.

when i could've probably spent $400 for a better set.

And people dont buy cheap stuff off of Walmart for quality

If you are not a mechanic...
And cannot rebuild a Twin turbo V10 Engine out of a Lamborghini.....

Theres a good chance you can not put this together either...!

This is another case of read,,read..And reread the directions 

And can hopefully build things from pictures,,,, or can read the Inventors mind from another continent .

Because there's also times where there's No instructions and just a pic.

And times where theres no instructions or pics ....And you have extra parts and have to guess where it would go.

If you have the money pay for it to be put together. 

Then ultimately when it falls apart 
you can blame them and get another.

If I could go back I'd do that..!!
I would've 100% have done that..!

And save myself 6 hours of Insanity....And have someone else to blame it on when it comes apart..!

And be able to return it or get a refund.

The set at a glance seems nice 
The extension of the height is nice
(If you can figure out to use it)
But more importantly are able to put it together. 

after completing the set i had to go back again and rebuild most of it.

I bought a basketball hoop for my son for christmas we went to put it together and one of the hooks on the rim was broken off. I called and emailed lifetime and they said they would send me a replacement rim but its back ordered for a few weeks so here its January 14th and my son still isn't able to use his basketball hoop. Very disappointed
