Outstanding Value

I purchased a Lowrance because I was able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted in regard to features. I did not need side scan, maps, etc. I fish on the weekends and just need to have DI and Sonar and be able to save some waypoints. Some other brands include everything on their unit and it also includes a big price tag. Very happy with the fact that I could buy just what I needed and save a ton of money. Will be purchasing a second smaller unit for the front of my boat very soon. Thank you!

IT is very easy yo usé un drivers and lakes of the jungle
 I wish I could use a fish alarm

This was offered at a reduced price with the gps functionality which was why I bought it. The price is excellent and the depth/fish finder looks excellent.
However - the chart plotter doesn’t have the ability to load or display maps. It only records tracks and waypoints, which is still great for the price, but I prefer to spend a bit more to get topography (depth contouring) and shorelines.

The Hook2 7X appears to be a good FISH FINDER.  Nothing more  It has a decent screen and is easy to install.  IT IS NOT HOWEVER a GPS plotter, as stated in the advertising, and printed on the box.  The definition of a plotter is, "...a device used in marine navigation that integrates GPS data with an electronic navigational chart."  If all you need is a depth/fish finder, than this may work for you.

Decent Fish Finder Only

Unit seemed to work fine with the exception that it continually shut down during use. I could immediately start it back up, but it was an annoying hassle. I checked all installation procedures, imput voltages and etc. and found no reason for the problem. I contacted Walmart and they immediately rectified the situation. Thanks Walmart Customer Service.

I do not have the English versio of the operatord manual so I do not have any thing to report.
Why do you not have an  "I do not know" section for cases like this?  I had to answer no to most of the questions because I just do not know yet.  And, I had to also give the lowest rating because again, I just do not know yet.  A foreign manual was provided however I can not read it.  Can we remedy that soon and send me the English version?

Was more sensitive, picked up more detail with 83khz setting. 

The 7xTS really is just a colour screen. 
Doesn’t show better detail. 
Downscan and side scan were useless. 
No GPS map makes it useless. 
A complete waste of money. 
Oh it did tell me my speed. Wooo hooo!
