I'm gonna comment on the ease of set up first. I hate assembling things and also don't like to stop my husband to ask for help. All that you need was included in the box, allen wrench, 4 bolts and 4 screws. Wonderful!
 While the box is pretty heavy, the futon itself is easily moved and lightweight. 
The material is a velour that's very soft. It can be adjusted to lay flat and different positions in between. My daughter (8 yrs) completely loves it. She does homework and plays on her tablet. She has also added pillows from her bed. I would recommend this futon for a spare room, children/teen or gaming room. The options are endless. Adhere to the max weight, which is 225lbs, and you'll be fine.

My daughter's new favorite piece

This stylish Mainstays 3-Position Futon is a classic design. I have to choose it in gray. It provides incredible comfort, years ago I had to experience a very uncomfortable sofa bed. I had the idea that maybe this would be the same, but good that I was wrong. The back can be adjusted in 3 ways, to rest as an armchair, or to sleep as a bed. The futon comes in a luxurious upholstery that is available in several colors. This money played with an armchair from another line also in gray color has formed a great combination in my garage, since I have made it a family game room. It was my turn to sleep on this futon and I really slept very well. Even this weekend I had family members and they slept in it and bought the comfort of this armchair.
If I recommend it, good quality and good price, comfort guaranteed.

Position Tufted Futon,

This is a great futon! It was a bit daunting to see such a massive package arrive at my doorstep, and on the front of the box it said "50pc" ...so it sounded like there would be A LOT of assembly involved. When all was said and done though, there were maybe 11 pieces, including the cushion. It was so easy to put together! The only thing to note is that the futon comes in a box within a box. The first box was easy to get into, but the Mainstays box was heavily GLUED, so it took some work. A tidbit of advice? DO NOT USE A KNIFE TO CUT THE MAINSTAYS BOX. The futon cushion is right there under the box, protected only by a thin plastic bag. My father helped me with the futon, as it's definitely a two person job to move the box and lift the futon, and he ended up using a knife where we were struggling with the glued box. This resulted in him accidentally cutting a little bit of the fabric. Case in point, be patient and take your time getting it out of the box properly, because the actual assembly will take you about 5 minutes! Also note, you're going to be left with a lot of cardboard to discard. Thankfully, my Dad likes to use these in his garage over the winter for moisture control under his vehicles, so there's always reusing! Just know you'll have a lot. The futon has a nice, solid cushion, and it will be a great spot for someone who enjoys a firm sleeping surface. I'm curious how long the microfiber material will hold up before it rubs/wears, but overall this is a great futon-- stylish, simple, chic, soft, and functional. It's difficult to be disappointed with this!

Very easy to set up, but tough to get out of box!

The Mainstays 68u201D 3-Position Tufted Futon, Gray is awesome! My daughter and I love it. It was very easy to put together. The box it came in was large but it wasn't as heavy as I thought it was going to be. The hardest part was getting it out of the box haha. Once out of the box, we just had to attach the legs which was very easy. The sit is very comfortable and I love that you can have it I. 3 different positions, it's also easy to move into the different positions. Overall very satisfied with this product!

Perfect fit for the room

When I first got this futon the really large box that it came with kind of gave me a little anxiety about having to put it together. However finally I just went in and did it and was really really surprised with how easy it was. One thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it came within two boxes so the futon box itself actually came within another box which I thought was just Overkill. Once getting everything out of the box you literally have to put on the legs which is two pieces of bent metal. They come in a little tiny zippered area underneath the bottom of the futon. I think this zippered area is kind of cool and itself too cuz you could use it as a little storage area or hidey-hole for later on if you wished. The legs come in two pieces and literally only attached with two bolts each so all you have to do for this futon is attached for bolts and you are ready to go. Getting it to switch between couch style and bed style is really easy all you have to do is pull up the back part of the futon to make it into a couch and two fold it down you need to pull it all the way as much as you can until it clicks and then it will fold backwards. I was surprised with such little time it took together how absolutely sturdy it is. It's pretty cushiony, however when you lay on it to sleep it is more of a firm type mattress. I really love the suede although when you move your hands on it it really does leave a mark of wherever your hands were. I love the fact that this is essentially a twin size bed and I even used a pink twin size sheet to throw over it while I had family coming over using it as a bed so that it was protected. It's pretty stylish and would look great in any kind of dorm room however I use it in my extra bedroom since it's really easy to fold up and take a little bit less space than a twin size bed when not in use. Absolutely love this!

So easy to put together!

We really like the Mainstays Gray 68u201D 3-Position Tufted Futon. We use this futon for extra sleeping and sitting space at our vacation cabin, and it's perfect for our needs. The hardest part about assembling this futon was actually getting it out of the box! The rest was intuitive and easy. Futons have come a long way since my college days! This one is very stylish and would fit many different types of décor. I like the simple, sleek lines of the piece and the neutral gray color. The fabric is a tufted microfiber, and the legs come in a metal square shape. The back of the futon is adjustable to three different positions for sitting, lounging and sleeping. Adjusting it to the three positions is quite easy as well. The futon itself is pretty firm, but I expect it will loosen up some over time (although, I prefer a firmer feel when sleeping!). I like that the piece offers additional sitting options and another sleeping option for overnight guests, all while not taking up too much space. The Mainstays Futon would be great in an office, spare bedroom or basement. Its dimensions are 65”x33”x31.25”. Lastly, this is an affordable piece of furniture that provides many options. Great purchase!
