The larger can does. The smaller can has a removable bucket that can also hold a bag in place.

The big can has a secure ring....the small can has a bucket that you pull out so it doesn't require a bag. :o)

The large trash can has a secure ring. The small trash can has an insert. I use 4-gallon trash bags in the smaller one to protect the insert and the inside of the trash can. The bags are not visible from the outside.

The 13 gallon has the ring. The smaller can does not it has a handle to lift the bucket out but you can use the small trash bags as a liner. I use the bags from the grocery store and push the handles down the outside of the bucket so that when emptying I pull the bag out and tie it off.

The 13 gallon has a ring for the trash bag. The 2 gallon has a bin that you remove, but no ring. I'm using it in the bedroom for papers & such, but haven't used it with any kind of trash bag.

No, only the large/kitchen one. The small one has an inside canister that you just pull out. It has a metal handle for pulling it out or placing it in. Just like the one of those step-in trashcans that you can find in any store. Except that this is not a step-in. I place a small trash bag in the canister, fold it around the top, and it stays in place with no operational problems what-so-ever or messiness of any kind.

The large can does; the little can does not.

Does these 2 trash can's have a secure ring to hold the trash bags?

Haven't had long enough to change batteries yet. It doesn't open when you walk by. Basically, you waive or move your hand over it. But, they seem to be pretty good.

The kitchen unit has a slow response and requires you to slowly move your hand over the unit to open it. It will not open just because you walk by it. The small unit sensor is very fast and should be placed out of direct foot traffic.

Don't knop how often you have to change batteries, but the sensor is only sensitive to something directly above it. You can walk by without the sensor opening if your hand does not go above the sensor.

The sensor is great. It doesn't open every time you walk by it. It doesn't really sense motion per say you have to hold your hand still in front of it rather than wave it. The batteries last for a pretty long while. We used Energizer batteries.

The sensors are about perfect. They open right away when you need it too, but almost never open accidently. You have to almost touch the cans walking by for them to open.

my experience has been that it does not open just by walking by. Three weeks in place and batteries still going strong is all I can say about battery life.

No, the sensors do not open when you just walk by. The size D batteries lasted for over 4 years on the first trash can I purchased. The large trash can uses size C batteries, so I don't know how long they will last. The small trash can uses size D batteries, so they will probably last quite a while. I love my automatic trash cans.

It has been my experience that the sensors work very well. You would want to make sure that the can is not is a spot where there is heavy traffic. As far as battery usage in the 5 years that I have had mine the batteries had to be changed approximately every 6 months but again this depends on where it is positioned and how often it opens.

The sensors are pretty good! Sometimes it does open when I pass by, but not all the time. Only if I pass too close to it. My understanding is that the batteries last for over 6 months, which I consider a good investment compared to having to purchase special-order/expensive trash bags to have a nice-looking, moderns stainless steel trash can at home.

There is a manual electronic button you can press. There is also a little tab you can grab hold of.

The 13 gallon does have a open/close switch but it only works with 4 DD batteries and the power switch on.

Yes, you can work it manually if you need the lid to stay open for a while. The sensor also works great for just walking by to drop something in. :o)

Yes. Is very subtle, and it's right on the front beside the electronic eye. You just press it down softly and the lid opens or closes, depending on which one you choose.
