Todd, the top of the tent is all mesh, but can be covered by the included rainfly for weather protection. Thank you, Customer Service.

Not that we noticed. The windows let in a decent amount of light and didn&#39;t had a red hue to anything.

Screen, mostly. The top cover has a little bit of space to allow for good ventilation. We didn&#39;t get any leaking during an afternoon shower.

This tent went up with ease finding the awning was tricky but once I figured 
 Out it's attached to the doors it was a breeze.

Very roomy but back door zipper has very hard to open and close.

I  took this down and packed it away by myself, they say 2 minutes to put up but I think 2 people about 15-20 minutes is about the real time frame

Ozark trail 3 room tent

I originally gave this tent 4 stars because it did not come with an instruction manual (it isn't an entirely "instant" tent) but gave it the additional star because my family and I, first time campers, were able to figure out which pieces went where fairly easily. Overall, the tent is attractive (we received many compliments), very spacious (fit 12 adults and 3 children comfortably), and versatile (both entrances and windows, along with the roof, is netted so that you can remove the tarp flap and let in maximum amount of light during the day or gaze up at the stars at night without being attacked by pesky mosquitoes).

Love it!

Very nice tent, especially at this price. It was easy to set up with only one person and can actually fit back in its original bag afterward. Very spacious - we had two queen mattresses inside and still had a lot of room to spare. You could probably fit four if needed. 

Only negative is that the lower side vent is not big enough to use with an AC unit so we had to run it at the back door, which leaves a bit of a gap. 

Overall, very happy with our purchase and would recommend this tent.

Good deal

Just arrived yesterday! Sat it up to see how long it would take and how big it was. Set up did not take long at all! Probably 5mins(with 2 men).  Had comments on the size of it from 2 neighbors. Went back in the bag after. U can have the doors fully closed with awning up which I read was a problem with other similar tents. The room dividers fully cover and aren't loose or flappy. I'll be using it in the mountains in a week or 2 and am very excited and looking forward to it! I'll update how it goes! :)

Excited!

Update from my wife's review sddjjd. We camped in the mountains with it for 2days. Setup is fast. We got a few medium showers and never got wet. However, the two side windows do not zip all the way they just velcro at the top so if there's a lot of wind and rain it'd come thru. We were also in the sun and did not have a tarp for above us, so it did get kinda stuffy but we left the rain fly mostly on for shade. We got the tent on rollback for $139.00 plus tax. Overall it's worth it for THAT price. If ur looking to spend a little more and want a tent with actual rooms instead of just dividers, I would recommend the ozark trail base camp 14 person that looks like a cross. There are lots of windows for air which fully zip and is very spacious, but setup takes longer.

**Update**

I bought this tent as an upgrade from the Ozark 4 person tent. Our family of 3 (my 6 yr old son, spouse, and myself) had planned a camping trip to Allegany State Park for a 4 day stay. Buying this tent was easily the best decision I made, and we couldn't be happier. 

First off, it's big. Not "Oh no it takes up our whole campsite" big, but "wow, this is so comfortable, we're not squeezed next to each other" big.  It will definitely last us a while, even with more kids and inviting other family members with us. It has two dividers that can create up to 3 separate rooms. We put both dividers up and did exactly this. We had a queen mattress on one side for my spouse and I, and a queen mattress for my son on the other side. We used the middle room where both the front door and back door open up into as our "mud room", where we kept our shoes and bags on one side and had the other side (by the front door) open in case it rained and we needed somewhere to hang out, luckily enough we didn't have any rain. It was also where we kept our tent light (the tent provides a spot to hook it up right in the middle of the main room ceiling). It was perfect to not hold a flash light when your trying to dig through bags for pj's. (the light I bought had different modes including a night light which was perfect for our little guy till he fell asleep)

Second, the tent itself is super easy to set up! It took me by myself not even 5 minutes to set up the tent. However, it took me another 15 minutes for the rain guard. I didn't practice this in my test run at home, and it took me a minute to get it up top (it's tall which is a good thing since you can stand and move around so easily inside, but takes some effort to get it up and over (Don't be stubborn ask someone for help). Once I asked for help and got it on top it took me a minute to figure out where they latched on (again, this is from my lack of experience, since when I did my test run I thought "Oh I'm good, that just goes on top"). For the record there's a loop right next to the poles, about half way down. (Your welcome).  

Third, the tent provides lots of ventilation! We never woke up to our stuff felling damp /dewy like you normally do when you're camping. And there were never any droplets from condensation. 

Overall, this tent was amazing and we can't wait to go on our next trip! The only reason I didn't give it the 5 star rating is because I would recommend bringing/investing in some durable and longer stakes. The tent comes with the standard stakes that any tent comes with. However, the stakes bend very easily and are not very long (you want something with length to make sure your tent is secure, especially when weather becomes less than perfect). However, I already had stakes as I always swap them out for both our tents and canopies.  :)

A Great Family Tent!!

This is a roomy, and for the most part, a well made tent. However, this is NOT an instant tent. Granted, the center portion of the tent will rise in under 5 minutes, but to continue setting up each side of the tent, as well as the awning, will take about 30 minutes. We bought an instant tent so it would be just that, quick and easy to set up, but instead. it caused arguments trying to set it up. The awning is a very nice feature, and larger than the photos imply, but if a wind gust of more than 25mph hits your camp site, expect the awning poles to be knocked down by the wind. The rest of the tent withstood wind like a champ. Interior, the design flaw is that rain will come into your tent via the 2 side windows. There's no way to prevent this unless you tape the top of windows shut, as they only zip on right and left side of window, not across the top. Once unzipped, rain will be in your tent from those wet flaps. The entire tent may or may not be waterproof - we were not willing to risk that, so sprayed it down with waterproofing prior to first use. Other design flaw is with front and back entries, it will require 2 hands to unzip because there's no way to hold the bottom of the tent for resistance to unzip, you gotta reach down with your free hand to hold it tight to unzip. If you're cool with these peculiarities, it is an otherwise nice, roomy and durable tent for this price point.

Does Instant = 30 minutes?

This tent is a nice size and has several really nice features. However, there is a flaw in the design that causes too much pressure to be put on certain nylon support straps in the set-up process. My husband has been camping and setting up tents all of his life, and the first time he set up this tent, one of the straps tore through. When we set it up a second time at home to let it dry out, a second one was very close to tearing through. For that reason, we decided to take it back and shop for a different tent

Nice tent with poor construction

As a newly single mom I was drawn to  the appeal of an instant tent because my husband usually did  that stuff.  I've put tents together, don't get me wrong, but it had been awhile. 
This tent was the most ridiculously complicated thing to put up. The ones that came already at part of it weren't sitting the same way, the rain tarp wouldn't go on right, the awning was covering the front door. After an HOUR in the hot sun with tears of frustration on my face  I got it into some semblance of shelter and prayed it wouldn't rain. It rained.  We came home this morning wet and after I figure out a way to get it in the bag again it's going to Walmart for a refund.  Ridiculous.

What a joke

Tent go's up quickly even in rain but not so easy putting rain fly on! Which doesn't matter cause , rain comes through closed Windows onto everything near them and now you have puddles everywhere
