It takes 1 person to Setup. Took me about 20mins 1st time.
This Tent is 96"L x 96"W x 52H and weighs 10lbs.
The packed weight is 9 lbs without the carry case.
The packed size is 20” x 5”. It Sleeps 4 but is a palace for 2
with backpacks and extra gear.
The Vestibule is 37 Square Feet!

It took us two people. Im not sure you could do the poles without someone holding one end while you put the pin in the other. Sorry. We haven't tried it with one person.

My husband put it up fairly easy himself. Comes with great instructions

I was able to put it up alone but two would be easier. You may want to put down a sturdy 8x8 tarp inside the tent if there is any chance your dog's toenails may puncture the flooring.

You can fit 4 mid size adults with out a problem. You and your sevice dog would work fine.

I&#39;m in the same position.  This tent is a little bit of a hassle to put up by yourself but with a little patience its not too bad.   All you have to do is insert the three poles into their sleeves then you can start staking down the tent.   It just takes a few minutes to put in all the stakes that keep the vestibule up then stake down the other end of the tent and you&#39;ll have plenty of room for you and your dog.

Again, be patient!  The first time I put this tent up I was spittin&#39; and cussin&#39; the whole time.  Once I got it figured out though it goes up pretty quick now.

BTW, the vestibule is really handy if your dog gets caught in the rain.  I towel off my dog in the vestibule so I don&#39;t have muddy paw prints inside the tent.  Its a good idea to have your tarp extend through the vestibule so you&#39;re not putting your gear on the ground.

How many people does it take to put up this tent. Its just me and my service dog

I would not recommend sleeping in cooler weather as the tent is largely mesh and would be very hard to keep warm in.

This tent is rated as a 3 season tent, spring, summer, fall. I would not recommend this tent
as a winter tent. That being said, the material this tent is made of would withstand a cold heavy rain. As with all my tents with snow fall and accumulation, I wake up thru-out
the night, get up and check my tent and knock off snow accumulation. I have a sub-zero degree Down sleeping bag and use a 5.7 R-Value NeoAir XTherm MAX sleeping pad to insulate me from the ground and I wear appropriate layered cold weather cloths/gear
and have slept warm in tents rated a lot less than this tent. I have slept in this tent in
a bad Louisiana Rain Storm, and it kept me dry.

I would not trust this for winter camping. It works very good for the spring,summer and fall.

That depends on your tolerance of cold weather. I&#39;ve camped when it was in the single digits. For summer it has plenty of ventilation. Winter, just bring a heavy bag.

We had this in the rain and we did not set wet

Yeah,  that&#39;s how this one works. They have to be closed from the outside. That is a negative for sure. But you can usually tell when rain is heading in.  Went through a pretty rough thunderstorm in this thing a few days ago. It did better than expected. No water inside and it has very good ventilation. For the price it&#39;s tough to beat. Pretty straight forward two pole dome tent. The third pole is only used for the rainfly.  Setup wasn&#39;t bad at all. One person can do it in under five minutes.

We received this tent and could not put it up due to a saturated yard so we assembled it in the driveway. We were very excited as we really were looking for a quick throw in the car tent for short overnight or weekend camping trips where we did not want to lug our Big Agnes out with us.

The quality of the tent appears good, I did not notice any shoddy seams or poor workmanship when we took it out, assembled it, or packed it away. The zippers are tight and smooth and do not catch or resist. They are heavy and do not feel like they will bend or break either. The bathtub floor comes up on the side of the tent all the way around to make sure no splashing will seep through.

This is definitely a two-season tent as it is largely mesh on the upper half. Staying warm in this tent would be pretty hard and for that reason and I would not think it would be very comfortable on cool fall nights. Being mostly mesh also means it will breathe well too, so an added bonus for summer camping in the heat. The ability for the air to flow through with all the windows and doors opens is a huge plus in the heat.

There are plenty of windows and doors on the tent as well. You have one rear door and one front door. You can enter and exit via the vestibule or through the rear of the tent. The vestibule has doors on both sides if you want to put them both up and have a walk through as well. Each side of the tent also has a large window. The door and window covers are solid and overlap the zippers to help ensure water does not leak inside.

Inside the tent would sleep four and four only. The exception would be if you had very small children who took up less room, but otherwise you would be very limited in space with four sleeping bags. Person wise I would not recommend more than three and really two unless you are okay sleeping together closely and only if you are using sleeping bags. With two people, you would be able to fit an air mattress and some camping supplies that you do not want left in the elements.

The vestibule is quite large and spacious and you could fit quite a bit in it. The downfall for it really is the height, being much shorter than a comfortable bent over walking position. I am only 5’3 and I did was not comfortable stooping to enter the tent through the vestibule. I really felt like it almost requires a crawl in, especially if you would be moving around any supplies, being that far hunched over for any period would definitely not be comfortable. That being said, it also greatly increases the footprint, which makes it harder to fit in small spaces, and since the vestibule is not that user friendly due to height, it is almost like a wasted space.

Quality was not shirked on the tent, but we do not really feel like it is a great fit for our family. If you want a quick tent to throw in the car and go where you can quickly setup and take down, this could be a great option. This is especially true if you are a single person, a couple, or have young children. Our family comprises of two adults, a teen, and a preteen though.

We were expecting a small tent that would not leave us much room though and had this been just the tent it would have been exactly what we wanted for those single nights. Sacrificing space is okay when you are in a hurry and just looking for a place to crash. The vestibule as it is is not really a benefit to us though and for this reason, we will probably not have much use for the tent. The vestibule either needs to be taller or removed altogether.

Overall, however, this is a quality tent and I do feel it could be the right tent for many people. It just did not meet our particular needs. I still feel the quality is better than most and give it a four start. The one star reduction is due to the vestibule only. I REALLY wish it was taller and the tent would be perfect.

Great Tent

This is the coolest tent we have owned. Really do like it. It was a little awkward setting up with the vestibule on your mind, but really if you just relax it goes together just fine. Do follow the included instructions as you go along the first time, and you should after that too. It goes together easy.
The tent comes in a black bag, which great to have to store when not in use. This is a good size tent, and would definitely sleep 4. We had three adults. The wrap around screen area on the tent itself is great for air circulation, and it has things to hold your extras inside, there are flaps for the windows, the flap that comes out over the threshold to help keep the dirt out. The vestibule is awesome and a nice place to store your gear, like coolers, rods, chairs and food. Covered, easily accessed for you everything is stored out of site. The vestibule area is self belted off on the inside giving it some stability, and it is connected to the tent poles like the tent, really a great idea. The tent itself is quite roomy, and has good circulation. It seems to be well made, roomy, lightweight to carry, held up well to the in and out traffic. You can hang a battery operated lantern in the center if you want to. Easy to put together. On that line it’s also very easy to take down. Think the first time it took 20 minutes to put together, and about 10 to take down and roll up appropriately and put in the black bag. Next time it only took about 10-12 to put together. The boys are getting ready to take it out again in a couple days.

Nice roomy tent

The Ozark Trail 8' x 8' Tent with Vestibule is a well built for the money. The base is made of a durable grey woven plastic material. This is a most welcome improvement over the last tent that I owed. That tent’s floor was made from the same material as the rest of the tent which snagged and tore in several places due to foot an equipment wear. The floor of the Ozark Trail 8' x 8' Tent with Vestibule tent seems to be very durable under normal wear and tear. The upper portion of the tent is made out of the polyester type material that almost all of the modern tent are made with today. I found the seams to be well made. However, I have tested the tent under rainy conditions, of which would tell the tale on seam leakage. The vestibule design is a great design feature with this tent. This design allows for covered storage space for equipment and supplies or can be used as a sleeping space. The orange color of the upper provides a measure of protection from any careless hunter. The tent comes with instructions for both setup and refolding after teardown. Honorable mention: It comes with a nice carry bag. I would recommend this tent when space is required, but a big tent is not wanted or needed.

Big space without a big tent

The Ozark Trail 8'x8' tent with vestibule is a great 1st tent for a family. It sleeps 4 comfortably. It has been a lot of fun for my husband, me, and our two boys. Our kids absolutely love it. I really love the tent having the vestibule attached. I'll be honest before we got this tent I had no idea what a vestibule was. It is really nice. I love that it is an area separate from the main tent sleeping area but it is still enclosed. It is the perfect area to put your luggage and supplies so you have more room in the sleeping area. It's also enclosed so your stuff is safe and protected from weather and the outside. One thing I would like to mention is the vestibule doesn't have floor covered so we just put a cheap tarp down to cove the ground. The vestibule can be secured shut for privacy and safety. The main tent also has doors that zip open and shut on two sides. One is where it connects to the vestibule and the other is on the back. The main tent also has two good sized windows that you can unzip and roll up to only have screen and let some air and sunlight in or you can roll them down for privacy. One thing I like about this tent it pretty much the entire thing is screen with tent material over it. You can open up all the windows and let sun and air in but not have to worry about insects or critters getting in. That is one thing I that is important to me is a tight secure tent to keep insects from getting in. This tent seems very well made and sturdy. It also comes with easy to follow instructions and is fairly simple to put it. Overall it has been a lot of fun and I see a lot more fun with it in years to come.

Great 1st family tent!

This tent has a lot of great features. The gear "room" is very handy, the mud flap outside the door is a nice touch but we did add a bigger one because we like to keep our tents as clean as possible. The small flap that allows an electric cord to be brought inside is a great idea. The windows in the main tent are huge and allow a lot of air through if the rainfly cover is off. There is not much privacy without the rainfly as it is more like a screen room with open windows.

The clip-in gear loft (netting that suspends at the top of the tent to hold small items) is very convenient and if you have the full group of 4 people in the tent there isn't much room for other items. As the tent is 8 feet by 8 feet, there are only 2 feet per person for sleeping so it will be tight and I probably won't use with more than 3 adults so there is more space to spread out a bit and have some personal items nearby. With 4, the two on the outer edges will almost have their faces in the side of the tent.

I was very surprised to find that I could easily fit the tent back into the small carry bag that came with it. I have had other tents that required me to purchase another carry bag because it just wouldn't fit once it was opened, but this one did as long as you fold it carefully to the length of the bag and roll it tightly with the poles in the middle. I did a test setup of this tent inside the house due to constant rain here and was able to assemble/disassemble it alone but it is much easier with two. I'm amazed that such a big setup could fit in such a small storage bag after opening. It is also light in weight.

One improvement that would make me like it more would be the colors... the tent is red/gray and the rainfly is orange. I also recommend a sturdy tarp underneath the whole setup to keep the tent cleaner and more resistant to dampness.

What a great tent!

first time setting up the tent. I'm handicapped and it took me about 30 minutes to set it up. it looks a lot better than expected for the price. don't like the poles connection at the bottom. they kept coming apart. should have been a more secure connection. duck tape might solve the problem.

Overall, I think this tent is good. This was my first time assembling a tent, and I thought I could do it on my own but ended up needing a little bit of help. I think if you know how to put up a tent, you could probably do it on your own. However, I really had a hard time putting up the vestibule part of the tent. The wording in the instruction manual was very strange to me and it took me a very long time before I figured out what it was trying to tell me to do. Once it was all put up, it looks great. It’s very roomy inside the tent. But the vestibule is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. I was hoping to be able to set up a chair or 2 inside the vestibule to have some shade, but it’s not tall enough to do that unless we use the chairs that just sit inches away from the ground. I also thought I’d comfortably be able to walk into the vestibule door and walk into the tent – but I had to almost crawl through the vestibule door and then was able to mostly stand all the way up to get into the tent. I would have thought the heights of the 2 openings would have been more similar than they are. But even with the negatives, I would recommend this tent because it’s large inside, the vestibule allows for storage of items that you don’t need to keep inside the tent, and it folds up to fit in a pretty small bag.

Good tent!

This is a pretty good tent for the money, but it has a few cons. It will technically sleep four adults, but it will be cramped. Luckily, it does have a back door, so if you do have a cramped situation, and someone needs to visit the restroom during the night, they won't have to climb over everyone to get out.

Pros: Easy to assemble (though you will need two people for some parts), comes with a carrying case, nicely constructed, no major design flaws, net sides for adequate ventilation, front and back doors, comes with a fly that leaves a little area covered outside the tent, and in which you can store extra gear, "windows" cut into the fly that can be rolled up.

Cons: Directions don't have many pictures. Cannot use in direct sunlight for prolonged periods. For me, this is the biggest flaw. Repeated exposure to direct sunlight will damage degrade the tent material. I'm in the Pacific Northwest, so I mainly camp in forest or shaded areas. I can't use this in the desert areas of Oregon, or in other sunny locations. It seems pretty stupid, and was the reason this tent only got four stars overal and only three for durability.

Nice inexpensive tent

Out of the box, I'm pleasantly surprised to see that the tent comes in a handy carrying case which looks pretty sturdy. The fiberglass tent poles and the tent spikes also come in little bags, for easy storage.

The assembly instructions could have been a lot clearer or at least had more pics. There were a few moments where things got a little confusing, but if you get the general gist of what you're putting together, you should be okay. There aren't that many steps and there sure aren't that many parts. In my case it was a one woman job that might have gone faster w/ another set of hands.

I can't speak to the durability of the tent, cuz I just got it. Ask me after a couple of assemblies/dissassemblies and use. I can say that I wish the bottom of the tent was made w/ thicker material. Or at least something that is waterproof. Next time I will put a tarp under it.

From unpacking the box until crawling into the tent took a little under an hour. That includes water breaks cuz it's hot as heck out there. Bottom line, the Ozark 8'x8' 4 person tent is pretty neat. It wasn't too difficult to put up and it has a nice carrying case for storage. It's so roomy, you could probably fit a full size air mattress in there for an extra comfy noght's sleep.

It's Campout Time!

Ok tent, was excited and although it got down to -15 degrees F I was sitting at about 65 degrees F inside the tent with a constant source of heat with drafts and a mylar blanket over the vestibule side door.  The windows and doors on the inside of tent do not have zippered closures allowing outside air in. The outer tarp is pretty decent but does not touch the ground allowing outside air in and when the winds pick up it rocks the shelter.
