Age is not so relevant as size and comprehension of tents. As with all things, children should be supervised closely until adequately trained on the use and safety concerns, and comprehend the issues with camping in a tent. Training via "doing with" is the best method. My personal recommendation is when can operate the front flap with ease. This tent can easily fit adults as well, sleeping parallel to the opening. It is not large enough to hold a queen air mattress, but will a twin.
As with all tents, fire (including combustion heaters) do not mix! Also, tents are not for roughhousing! Smothering is a real possibility! Tents are not "play" pens for babies and toddlers.

This is a complete package for a child that wants to be independent. It is a durable tent that holds up to not only the weather but to a 5 year old and his friends. The kids love to build forts inside the tent and strong enough to withhold the treatment of all the kids. I am so glad that I bought this!!

a wonderful tent set. I bought this for my grandson. Nice, big and sturdy

My son and his friend absolutely love this tent! They used it in our backyard for an evening hangout spot, even our new puppy joined in on the fun. They were in and out of it constantly, crawling all over it and arranging the chairs or sleeping pads inside.  To my surprise, the zippers held up to the two rambunctious boys, the floor held up to all to scratching and pulling, and the chairs and sleeping pads held up from being moved around. Best part, we used the sleeping pads for their sleepover in my son's room and we used the chairs for a sporting event the next day. I highly recommend!

Awesome Backyard Tent

Perfect for a kids camping trip. Or the yard. The pads are thick and great for sleeping on. The pads have been moved to the living room for sleepovers.

Bought this for my grandkids who LOVE to camp out. Great product especially on sale.

We purchased this for our godson and he really enjoys using it. He's 11 and it fits him well. The tent and sleeping pads are a nice and good size, the chairs are sturdy but on the small size.

Looks like a decent tent for outdoor use only.  I was hoping it could be used for both indoor play time and outdoor use but the tent only stands upright when staked in the ground.

The combo was a good design- tent, chairs, bedding . But i had to return as it was two piece top. This would not keep it warm in morning colds outside . Thr inside roof is eith mesh and great for summer but not colds

Purchased in Oct 2019 because there was a sale.  Used on June 2020 on our very first camping trip.  The fabric on the kid chair tore.  This thing only has a 6 month warranty.  Only buy this when you are ready to use it.  Just in case you got a defective one like me.
