no, don't put plastic in Microwave, unless it says so on the product. Pyrex lids are not microwavable.

Whether plastic says it is microwavable or not - you should never put any plastic in a microwave.

I&#39;ve had mind for quite awhile - never put in micro &amp; never put in dish washer - And they all look just as new as when I rec&#39;d them.

When needed, I just cover the glass container with a paper towel.

I would not recommend microwaving with the lids on.  I had one warp from doing that.

No.  One of the round lids warped and does not stay on the bowl after a visit to the microwave.

I have not baked in them, but have used them in the microwave many times.  Do not microwave with the lids on.  I had one warp.

I am not sure if they are supposed to be able to handle that kind of temperature change but I do it all the time with containers. They are microwave safe for sure and I always place them in the micro for reheating my leftovers straight from the fridge and so far have not had any issues with these glass dishes.

These are great to bring lunch to work in. You can microwave them and not have to worry about plastic. These glass containers are very versatile. Paid $18.84 for the set.

Great for bringing lunch to work

I have been using Tupperware for years and always end up replacing it every 6 months or so. When I saw this Pyrex on sale for a dollar more than Tupperware I could not believe it. I won't be replacing these for a while. Even the lids can be used in the microwave and you can bake in them. When I went to pick them up it was a bonus pack with 2 extra pieces in the package. I purchased 2 because now I can completely eliminate my Tupperware & not worry about them wearing out or the chemicals from the plastic. Great Deal! Even if they are not on sale you will save money in the long run because you won't end of replacing them when they become corroded or stained!

Unbelievable Deal

I loved these so much I purchased two more sets. I am replacing all of my plastics with glass. I am so happy with the sizes in this set--they are mostly 3 and 4 cup--better than the larger sizes for us. Use them mainly for room temp. storage, refrigerator storage and freezer storage. Have not used in microwave.

Cannot beat Pyrex very good!

i went thru my cupboards and threw away all the old stained plastic ! yuck ! I know glass cleans up and doesnt hold odors. this really is all you need, unless you have a large family then I would suggest 2-3 sets. lids are made well.. I couldn't be happier, especially when I look in the cupboard and it is clean and organized !

perfect assortment

Trying to live a more sustainable lifestyle - using more reuseables and less disposables, and Pyrex is PERFECT for that!

I had been using plastic Gladwear, Ziploc, and Rubbermaid containers, but had several problems with them.

My one complaint is a set of 6 lids and 6 containers is not enough, I need another set, LOL. :-)

Trying to live a more sustainable lifestyle

I highly recommend PYREX  Glass Food Storage Set, and from Walmart. You can't beat their price. I have so many plastic storage containers but they are so beat up, scratched and discolored I have to finally replace them. I like the Pyrex brand because they are reliable, good quality, good price.

Just right!

It says you can place lids in the microwave.  My lid is now melted in a upward motion, no longer a flat lid that fits on the bowl.  

However I do love love love he bowls and the lids fit loose not a tight fit. It can leak.  I may return them just not sure.

not satisfied with the lids

I like Pyrex, but the lids don't quite have the tight fit I was looking for.  Still good product.  I use strictly for storage, getting away from plastic.  Will look for tighter fitting lids.

Loose lids

I purchased this Pyrex set because I had purchased a smaller set at another store. At that store I paid more than I did for these so I thought I was getting a bargain when I saw the same brand online at Walmart. To my dismay, these are just fair compared to my other set. The lids stay on but I don't get the sense that they are airtight. The glass also seems like a lighter version than my original set. At this point, the Walmart Pyrex set will do. If you are in a pinch and need some storage containers and prefer not to use plastic containers, these will do, but I recommend spending a bit more for quality products that will last.
