A great decorative stand with a little storage. The fireplace works as a heater as well as just being a decorative piece of furniture. To me it has a little 70's feel to the look but it will hold a television nicely with a cupboard to hold a few games for entertainment.

Inviting and romantic

I love the Queer Eye Farnsworth Fireplace TV Stand! The tv stand is sturdy and measures 24.63"H by 59.61"W. The color is a beautiful walnut woodgrain finish that compliments our 60" tv very well. I was impressed with the quality of the stand and it is heavy at around 100lbs. We needed two people to assemble the stand which took about 2 hours in total, and the instructions were easy to follow. When the box arrived it was very heavy and also needed an extra set of hands to carry. My favorite feature is the fireplace! It has a heating mode, programming mode, and different flame settings. It comes with a remote to control the flames from the comfort of your couch. It will be nice to heat up the room during wintertime. The stand also comes with a one year warranty. This is the perfect tv stand that brings a nice modern touch to the room as well as a sense of comfort and warmth with the fireplace.

Stunning!

So far, so good! We've only had this about a week, but we're really loving it. It's not cold enough in the evenings yet to use the heat, but anytime we're in the living room, we have the flame effect on. This has made our new place instantly cozy and feel like a home. The TV stand itself isn't the most amazing quality (there are a few nicks and scratches in the sticker coating from shipping), but I bought a wood repair marker and will fill those in and it'll be fine. It was the right price for us, and checked all the boxes in terms of what we wanted. My boyfriend put it together in a couple hours and had a couple moments of frustration, but it came together and looks great. We're renting this house, so the TV stand may or may not move with us in a few years, but until then, we're looking forward to getting lots of use out of it!

Love it so far

Let me start with the packaging, I received this item in triple protective packaging which was impressive. 1 outer layer of shrink wrap, 1 outer cardboard box, than the inner box with all the pieces and hardware surrounded with styrofoam. Assembly calls for 2 people and would take 2 hours, I put this is together myself with no problems, if you have a second person that's a bonus. Lay out all the pieces on a soft surface so they don't get scratched, let it be noted that the only “complaint” I have is it's pressed wood with a sticker over it so please don't have expectations of custom hardwood furniture. Once it's put together it was very sturdy-to my surprise. Don't move this stand all over the place, if you do that it will break down fast, and don't slide or push it use 2 people to move it. The stand will fit up to a 65” TV. The electronic fireplace is very aesthetically easy on the eyes, it has a remote, it can be used as a heater as well, and has a timer. All the hardware was present and labeled. As with all products not every person will be satisfied, but if you follow the directions and handle with care than this product will be fine and I'd recommend this for purchase.

Electronic fireplace/TV Stand

This fireplace TV stand is a beautiful addition to our home. We are actually using it as a console table. It took my husband and I about an hour and 45 minutes to put it together. All the pieces were labeled and the instructions were easy to follow. I love the finished look of the TV stand. It looks classy and chic in our living room. The fireplace is awesome because it can be used with or without heat. The heat offers temperature options of 64, 66, 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, 80 and 82. The logs have multiple settings: logs only, and low, medium and high flames. It has a timer as well. It has a control panel on the unit that lights up when you are adjusting it but is hidden when not being used. The remote is a great option as well. My family had no idea what we were missing having an electric fireplace in our home. It adds such a comfort and coziness to our living room.

Add a cozy feel to your home!!

Pros: Put together it looks exactly as pictured. There was no damage during shipping (speaking of, it only took 3 days to arrive). The heater is actually quite impressive, great for warming up a chilly upstairs room (which is what we were looking for). Fireplace provides great ambience with realistic flame flickering. It comes with a remote and batteries to change the temp of the heater, turn off/on the heater, adjust the brightness of the flame, and even has a timer setting!

Cons:  It's not the worst thing I've ever assembled (shout out to Ikea) but you do need to be mindful of raw/finished edges when putting together. I think that's what people are talking about when they say this is hard to put together. We f*ed up and had to unscrew and move a couple things around because the pieces are labeled well with letters but don't have any indication of what direction they should be facing. Other than that, instructions are super easy to follow (esp if 1 person is pulling out and situating hardware while the other screws/hammers stuff in). The 2 doors are also a pain to place correctly - we kept having to move and screw/unscrew until they were just right because of the hardware. Because of weight and the need to hold things just right, this does imo require 2 people to move/build. The fireplace also emits some stank when you first turn it on (burning plastic smell). That goes away after about 20 min of it running so just turn it on with a window open. It is made of pressed board, too, so you need to mindful about how tightly you screw things in. The instructions indicate you only need a hammer and screwdriver to assemble, which is all we needed.

Overall. For less than $400, this is a great deal. I'd imagine a more high quality version of this would be closer to $1k. I'm very happy with it. :)

Pleasantly Surprised. 10/10 for price

Only 4 stars because this is EXTREMELY hard to put together. I did it all by myself and i took me 6 hours to get it done. But overall looks are 5 stars! I 100% love this tv stand it's so pretty.

Hard but very nice!

I got this tv stand for my finished basement because it gets chilly in the winterand the fireplace was the selling point. It's still summer, I haven't used it yet, so I can't say whether or not is more for ambience or if it does put off heat to take the chill out of a room. It's cute and looks good put together. I'm not really crazy about the color but it's fine for the basement. It went together easy, maybe about an hour to put together, typical particle board. What I really don't like about it is it doesn't feel sturdy or durable. The top definitely can't hold anything heavy, so newer light tvs only. It has 2 pieces on the top one is the lip and the other it's the long top. I thought there was a lot of give where they met and could see that as a stress point that will eventually break. I also would recommend not moving it without a two person lift just for fear of the legs or sides will break. But overall for what it is i would say it was a good bu.

Nice but not great

Yikes. I am torn between 2 and 3 stars but for now I have to say 2 stars, because the heater doesn't even work. The fireplace insert does not blow warm air for longer than about 3 minutes without shutting off and giving the "E3" error. I contacted customer service today about the E3 error. They sent me an email asking for photos and proof of purchase, which I sent right away. Hopefully the issue is rectified quickly and smoothly. If the company replaces my heating unit - and the replacement works - then I would change this review to 3 stars at least. 

The other issue is that the holes did not match up for the base piece to fit the middle 2 vertical pieces of shelving. I don't mean that they were just a tiny bit "off," the holes were literally inches away from where they needed to be. I was almost done assembling at that point, so I decided to risk putting it together and with just the right and left end pieces secured and not the middle. It seems secure enough. Unfortunately with this type of furniture that you have to assemble yourself, it's fairly common for the holes not to match up. Just a fact of life.

The unit itself is attractive and I think it is basically sturdy. I put it together by myself. It was a little difficult, but if you have put together a lot of Ikea type furniture you will be fine. 

Overall this is such a shame because I really wanted to like the unit and to enjoy it for the holidays. As it stands, the flames do create a pretty ambience but with no heat coming out it's kind of a bummer.

Buyer beware :(

This is heavy and it should probably be in 2 packages. Or packed with more protection. There was a hole in the side of the package and whatever had hit the package damaged one of the doors. This item is cheaply made, even considering the price...the hinges are horrible. The worst part is that the fireplace insert would not seat flush into the back of the tv stand...I don't know if they sent me the wrong insert. I would not recommend this item, do yourself a favor and pass.
