It is laid out as a bed in the box (approx. the size of a full size bed). It will not fit in a civic. You should have it delivered or rent a UHaul.

I'd ship it unless you are putting it on top of the Civic. The box is the size of the futon in the sleep position.

We put box on trailer. It's the size of futon laid flat..

Ship it to your apartment it comes fully assembled besides foot pegs

Definitely get it shipped I made that mistake and had to rent a uhaul truck to get it to my place. The couch is opened into the bed form when in th box so it's as wide and long as the bed.

The box is rather large it definitely won't fit in your civic and if you have it delivered to your apartment they only deliver to the bottom floors, so if you live on the second or third floor they won't take it up to your apartment.

No lever. Just clicks kinda like lawn chairs do - push all the way forward to get it to release. Sturdy mechanics.

Just click. Very easy, storage under, very easy to get to.

So if it's in laying down position you have to push back like a futon but then you hear 2 or 3 clicks then it'll be in couch poistion

When you lift it into a seated position you just push it a little further forward and it will click and stay. When you want to switch it back simply do the same thing and it will release allowing you to lower it.

You have to fold it and it clicks to make a bed or sofa.

No lever. Just fold one and then the other and it clicks in and out of place.

2 boxes. We had it shipped to home. Thank goodness we did because the boxes would not Have fit in my car.

1 box and it is totally put together except for the small screw on legs.

This product was a great addition to our small living room and gave the room the much needed look of space. I would recommend this product to anyone with a small room or with friends that have a habit of staying over as the hidden compartment is excellent for blankets and pillows

Beautiful

I bought this futon for my son's college apartment to be used as a sofa instead of a bed. I chose this one because it required No assembly but to screw on the four legs. The box was very heavy and was huge (the futon is actually laid out as a bed inside the box). I had it delivered directly to the apartment. It was a blessing that his apartment is on the first floor because I found out after I had ordered it that it would only be delivered to the first floor, no upstairs deliveries. I was very impressed with the futon. It looks just like the picture. It is a bit firm but I am ok with that and the pillows are very soft. It is also fairly easy to lay out as a bed and transition back to a sofa.
