Ready. Set. Go to work on those projects. Now you can. Comes at a perfect time as things where I live now need to be fixed/modified before moving into my new house. These will make the jobs much simpler. The presentation in the 'carry' box makes things alot easier. Nice selection of tools & components. Every thing from basic wrenhes, pliers, level, cutter, drill bits, and a great, cordless drill wirh a lite that illuminates what you may be working on. You can either purchase a toolbox or stack the 2 plastic holders for easy storage. Yes two. Makes for great accessibility. Can't gi wring with this set. Yeah, I'll say it: quality thru and thru.

Black & Decker Stanley Tool Set

Great set and includes everything you would need to work around the house. From mini screwdriver set to large screwdriver. Large ratchet screwdriver has different size bits stored on the outside and more in the handle (one for every type of screw), Level, stud finder (needs a 9 volt battery not included), stapler, utility knife, great hammer, all the pliers you will need, adjustable wrench and scissors. I may have missed some of the tools there are so many.
The real prize is the drill set. Heavy duty and well made. Battery took about 3 hours to fully charge. You need to charge it before first use. The instructions say not to let it fully discharge, and is safe to leave on on the charger so it is always fully charged and ready to use.
Comes with a full set of ratchet driver bits, all different screwdriver bits, set of drill bits and storage bag. It has quick change for drill bits and easy for a quick change. Forward and reverse with variable speed. There is a variable power setting in the tip. Also has a light for dark places.

Everything you will need with this drill set.

Great set - Great Drill

A very nice grouping of useful tools, with some quality to them. Pretty much all of the right tools in one spot. I would rather have shears instead of scissors, as they are better suited for many projects.

I was surprised that the stapler was empty, but happy that they included so many blades for the cutter! There are a bunch of head options for the screwdriver, plus big ones extra. I am glad to see someone includes larger bits! It's familiar, as I have had a Stanley cutter like this, for decades, just for my crafting, let alone the one for general purpose.

I really would like to have had the bag organize the tools better, not just dump them inside. I don't want to lose any of the pieces.
I will look to see if there is a more organized bag available. Perhaps on their site or Walmart's. If not, I may switch to a tackle box like I have done with other tool groupings.

I am really impressed with the 10 setting, cordless drill. Quite a little powerhouse in a small package. Small is good, as it fits in more places. It charges up fast, & has a light on it.
Like many chargers, it blinks while it's charging & becomes solid when it's done. I will look for extra batteries, as you can't go wrong with more batteries.

I'm hoping that the honey will be more apt to using this set up, as everything is together in one spot for her.

I like both Stanley & Black & Decker for great quality home tools. All of the pieces feel well made, & with in their specs. I expect many uses out of this set.

There isn't any fluff tools in this kit. It has everything that is useful. A 6" crescent, a 25' locking tape measure, a 16oz claw hammer, a stud finder, regular, needle nose & a pair of channel locks.

Nearly all of the tools have a comfort grip on them of some kind, even the diags are ready to be put into action. There are various bits (screw, drill, socket, & other), a 3 way level some precision finger drivers to round the set off very nicely. All of the bits have a sized holder, so losing them will be a little more challenging, than if they were loose.

A very nice home tool kit, that makes a fantastic gift. I've used nearly each piece already in the time that I've had it. With the holidays coming, I expect to be using them much more.

A big bag of tools

The Stanley Black+Decker 79pc Home Project Kit is an amazing value. The kit has a great assortment of useful tools That are perfect for projects around the home. Most of the tools included are of good quality and/or seem durable. The only pieces that seem light or moderately inexpensive are the level, stud finder, and the staple gun. As I have plenty of those already, it wasn't a big deal. Everything else was pretty impressive. You will need a 9volt battery for the stud finder and staples for the staple gun. The drill comes with a partial charge, but needs to be charged for 3 hours before first use. 

This set comes with a hammer, utility knife with blades, pliers, wrenches, wire cutter, a great 20v cordless drill/driver with bits, an awesome screwdriver that stores the bits in/on the handle and a lot more! I like that the cordless drill is not oversized but still has pleny of power. Everything you see in the picture is included. This set does come with a small lightweight bag to carry the tools. There are no pockets or loops to fasten the tools with, so if used, everything would be all mixed together. I personally would prefer a different bag.

I definately would recommend this tool kit for any job around the house. I can see this veratile kit being used all the time in my house. Great value for an outstanding kit!

Great set of tools

This tool assortment has what you need to handle everyday projects, such as furniture or shelf assembly, picture hanging, minor repairs, or wherever small hand tools are needed. From a varied assortment of sizes of drill bits to screwdrivers (including a set of tiny jewelers' screwdrivers), to pliers, to adjustable wrenches, to cutting and measuring tools, and even a small staple gun, they're all here. I particularly liked the 20 volt cordless drill motor; it's about two-thirds the size of a regular industrial-sized drill motor (yet with plenty of power); it fits my hand well, it's lighter-weight and easier to handle, particularly without an electrical cord, so is therefore easier to use. The drill motor also uses a keyless chuck (no more searching around for lost keys), and the lithium ion battery pack, which quickly snaps in and out of the base, ensures longer charging life. There is also a handy drill bit storage clip so that you don't have to interrupt your work to be fumbling for the next bit. 

While these tools are ideal for home applications, I don't believe they are intended to endure the rigors of industrial usage, so I would not exercise excessive force or use them for other than their intended purpose. However, this set would make an excellent starter set for a wedding gift, housewarming gift, kids leaving the house and going out on their own, or a purchase for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money but needs several tools for varied applications. 

There is just one improvement I would make, and that would be in the storage bag. There is a sturdy nylon bag which holds all the tools for easy storage or transport, but there are no inside dividers or pockets to organize them, so the tools are just loose inside. Because the drill bits (not in any sort of case or envelope) are sharp, care needs to be taken to avoid injury on the sharp edges. Extra blades for the boxcutter came in their own plastic sleeve; the drill bits should have had the same. (User tip: The drill bits and their holder fit perfectly in a regular business-size envelope.)

A note on the packaging: This set comes in a large box, approximately 48” x 18” x 4”, with two plastic inserts to hold and separate the tools. Even though there is a built-in plastic carry handle on top of the box, it is heavy (about 20 pounds) and is quite unwieldy to open, so I would recommend that you have another person there to assist. The packaging could have been reduced by half and made the set more manageable.

Overall, this is a convenient, portable and useful tool set, excellent for gifts or to purchase for yourself. Highly recommended.

Excellent, Practical Tool Assortment

Its my pleasure to review this Stanley tool kit. I am replacing all of miss matched tools with these. My favorite tool is the multifunctional screwdriver because it can be mounted for storage and it has a holster for all of the bits that connect to it so you don't loose them. I love that the drill has a cool light on it so that you can view what you're drilling. I thought it was going to come in a box but its actually a bag. Even though the bag looks small it holds all of the tools perfectly. I wish it had a side pocket to store the drill bits and other parts for easy finding. These are some quality tools by 100+ pieces!! Well known names Stanley and Black & Decker and to take care of practically every tool need, you can't beat it. I am a DYI woman and the size and weight of everything from the drill to the stapler is just right I love it!

Great tools

This tool set is so handy and becomes a lifesaver in so many citations! I absolutely love this set! These are two different brand name tools, which are some of the best on the market: the Black and Decker and Stanley. I love having tools around, either it's at home or in the car. I love the fact that the Black and Decker drill is cordless, it comes with rechargeable lithium ion 20V battery, and a charger. So convenient! It doesn't take long to get the battery recharged, about an hour. The battery lasts quite a while, I was putting together some furniture and a TV mount on the wall and it lasted me all the way through and I could of probably kept on going with it, but unfortunately I ran out of chores. I love the fact that the drill also comes with a travel bag, where I can easily store both drill, charger and drill attachments, which includes multiple accessories for all types of drilling or putting a screw into the wall, etc. This set includes 80 pieces, so you can only imagine how handy it is. The Stanley tools include everything from a good size hammer, which has got rubber coated handle for the ease of use, a tape measure, a screwdriver head with multiple attachments, scissors, vise grips, channel locks, pliers, also a box cutter with additional rasor replacements, and a staple gun, which is always handy! Overall this set is a dream set, it's a $175 value, I love having it at home and in the car. The tools always come handy no matter what, you can never have enough, even if it is a simple picture hanging on the wall, you will require a tool from this set. I absolutely love it! I definitely recommend it to all the shoppers who are looking for a tool set that will accommodate any type of handy work, whether it is at home, in the garage, working on a project, working on a car or even a bike , there are plenty of tools in this set to help you do any type of work and then some!

Handy tool set for your home and a car!

This 79 piece tool kit includes all the basics you will need to tackle those home projects!
First off- no batteries are included (for the stud finder) and no staples were included for the staple gun. I couldn't locate this information anywhere on the outside packaging so just a heads up for you when you purchase this set. What is pictured in the box is what you truly get in this kit. 
You get a 25' ruler, utility knife with blades, pliers, wrenches, level, scissors, and much more- including a super nice 20 volt cordless drill/driver with charger! You'll also get a hammer and handy screwdriver that will store the included screwdriver bits in the handle. 
This set comes with a nice little tool bag and everything actually fits inside!
All of the tools seem very durable and I'm very excited to be able to call this kit mine. 

The packaging states this kit is valued at over $175- by my best estimates it really is plus you get the convenience of having all of the basic tools you'll need in one kit.

Very handy starter tool kit!

This tool kit is a good general use kit. There are pieces that could be better, but most are good for the average user. The drill is a 20 volt drill with a rechargeable battery. It is powerful enough for most household and even some light on the job use. I doubt you could build a house with it, but it works well for fixing one. The battery is long lasting. It comes with quite a few different bits and drivers. The stud-finder is functional and I have no issues with it. The hammer, however, is a very lightweight one, and I feel like it will break if I try to use it. I am also afraid to try the staple gun, it feels very flimsy. Luckily, we already have a strong, professional staple gun, so it's not that big a deal. All the pliers work as they should. The rachetting screwdriver is nice and makes it easier to put in a screw. The level works, not much I can say there. Haven't used the tape measure, as we have quite a few and haven't needed to use one since we got the kit.The bag is simple, but works. We already had many of these tools and got this set mostly to replace a dying drill. The battery operated drills never last too long (about 10 years for our last one), but this one is strong, so we are happy with this set, despite a few pieces not being that great of quality. 

While we got this set free in exchange for a review thru SparkReviewer, I would be totally happy had I paid for it as well.

Overall, a good tool kit.

What a wonderful tool kit, and you get a bag to keep everything in it. This kit was packaged so tightly, but so perfectly too. It has the perfect selection of tools that most of us would require doing most jobs around the home. The drill is really nice with different attachments. I love the size and that's it's a 20 volt lithium battery. Everything you receive in this kit is the most basic things you need around the home. There are some items that sort of feel cheap and may not last long but if you take care of everything, they could very well provide years of service. The majority of items in this kit are of high quality and you won't be disappointed. Overall this would make a great gift for any person in an apartment, house or RV. It's always a plus to have your own set of tools and know where they are when you need them. Keeping everything in the bag that came with this kit will help you know where your tools are. The name Black and Decker and Stanley have been around for years and both are names you can trust for dependable products. All of this is a great way to organize your tools and if you think you need a set of the most common tools you would be using, I highly recommend this for yourself or someone you know.
